Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

And we're not even sure if Uncle Jack wasn't smart enough to get rid of the video tapes of Jesse's confession. very easy to deduce what happened. Jesse has probably told them all this information himself through the visitation window, since it's easy to figure out that one of those small towns in Alaska was one of the first in the state to install facial recognition cameras on the street corners getting a positive hit on the FBI most wanted computers. Like what mike said about the difference between a villain and a criminal. Jesse is a criminal, but takes the fall for his brother as he didnt have an evil heart, Jake who is not a "criminal" is saved from the trouble, but he is only concerned with getting the joint back, not the fact that because of his own actions, his brother has nowhere to go and is kicked out which showed at jake DOES have evil

The saddest part to me was how little his brother seemed to care about Jesse. Jesse was leaving, and he was seeing him for probably the last time, yet he didn't go talk to him to make sure he was alright, to bid him farewell, to beg him to stay, to ask where he could find him and keep contact with him later on... No, he just wanted his joint back, he couldn't care less about Jesse

    >I mean his brother was 12 and a prominent student What you see on the exterior doesn't tell what's going on inside. I suggest reading the poem "Richard Cory" by Edwin Arlington Robinson. >And it just so happens he had a joint there when Jesse comes over? Fair criticism. >And why would Jesse cover up his 12 year old brother doing drugs... He didn't tell them because he knows how much it would tear them up, to have not one but two of their children be into drugs, and he loves them too much to put his parents through that.

    1. Their parents were not good parents. Of course the series did not need to explore this. Just the mere fact that both of their sons are doing something illegal is enough to prove how much of a failure they were 2. Jesse in fact had a lot of things going for him. He is smart, he is innovative, he could have been a successful legitimate businessman if only it was not the wrong people who saw that potential 3. Jesse is far from perfect. But the mere fact that he takes the fall for his brother knowing he has a lot more going for him, says he is a real standup dude...... and a good brother 4. It always made me wonder what happened to Jesse's lil bro? It wont surprise me if later hed end up being a failure too

While I can see why, the parents weren’t good people either. They very clearly held everything against Jesse and favored the other son even before the drugs. From what we hear about jesses aunt it seemed the family abandoned her and just let Jesse take care of her and when she died they instantly tried to sell the house. Yea Jesse definitely made his own bed but they sure as hell where the ones that set that bed on fire every chance they got.
