This one is short and sweet but genuinely a doozy. Children of the Omnissiah is a powerful piece full of reflective and melodic choral singing. Couple that with the organ, it really gives us the feeling of being in an unholy setting. It's ravishing in its use of the lower notes and basses while also giving us this feeling of coming face to face with out maker. Powerful piece by Guillaume David.

The rule of thumb is: If it's Warhammer 40k and the music is for any of the human factions, it's ALWAYS liturgical.

"From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine. Your kind cling to your flesh as if it will not decay and fail you. One day, the crude biomass you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved. For the Machine is Immortal."

I am a mainframe specialist and work on the big irons that have been working since 80s. The technology I work on is barely any different than what it used to be 30-40 yrs ago

It‘s amazing what this man can read from nothing but the musical context of a piece of media. One can clearly see what it takes to become an opera singer.

I can't believe you essentially decoded the entire adeptus mechanicus through this song, bravo

So the song "Noosphere" you reacted to awhile back is from this same game. The Cult of the Omnissiah, better known as the Adeptus Mechanicus, is the Imperium of Mans technological heart, a cult where invention and creativity is heretical and banned, and a cult dedicated to becoming ever closer to the Omnissiah, the Machine God.

Warhammer 40k is probably the most intriguingly absurd sci-fi/fantasy universe to delve into.

Wow, he NAILED the vibes of AdMech. Fanaticism, devotion, barely-contained violence, a conversion from biological form to mechanical form...wow, he nailed it! I freaking love this song personally.

It's amazing seeing someone without the background taking so much of the atmosphere of Mechanicus just from the music. It's a testament to how amazingly well composed it is that it effectively conveys the Mechanicus faction. It's worth watching the intro to Mechanicus. It might have the strongest title drop in any videogame I have ever played and to this day the short intro speech is haunting and chilling in the best of ways.

It's a real testament to the composer that someone who's unfamiliar with the doctrine of the Cult Mechanicus was able to pick up pretty much exactly what the Adeptus Mechanicus is all about.
