Thank you. This was exactly what I was looking for. Coming from DD-WRT, which is more user friendly, Open WRT is really challenging to setup and I got really frustrated. I followed this video with attention and I finally was able to setup a wifi extender in my Netgear XR500 w/ OpenWRT.

Do you need to disable dhcp in the bridge router?

i think you could place it in auto mode at the channel in your client networksetting. Thats just what im thinking but idk if it will work because i dont have that problem here

no idea what adres have internet router. i have to watch it 3 times. poor video. no diagram what it should like. there is no explenation what device is currently configured. it is a mess.

like the ip address? you could go to cmd on windows and type ipconfig/all then copy the Default Gateway address hope this help
