Fantastic video. If you aren’t already, you should be a teacher. I’ve been with this hobby two years this July and I have yet to see a video on the inputs, mixers and output this well done yet. Definitely subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching your previous and new videos. Cheers, Sam (from Canada)

Hello Steve, your video was clear to understand each step configurating the Open TX companion on the Radiomaster TX16S. The radio reflected perfectly the data so, I could check that all the information was saved over there. But on my case I found no interaction or connection between the radio and betaflight on the receiver tab, is that a sign that they were not bound? Is it truth that the binding procedure does not have to be repeated, until one of the parts is replaced (manual text). I just repeated several times the binding without exit.

IMHO it is a little overkill to set switch in the radio this way. I just add a single mixer line on the channel with the switch as a source. Works the same way. For the rest of the video I found it very informative and I have learned new thing or two :-)

Good tip! Your way is definitely easier. I do it the long way in the video because when I learned how to do it, seeing 3 lines (for a 3 pos switch) laid out on 3 separate rows made it easier to wrap my brain around what was going on.

@@TahoeSteve I noticed the benefit of having things named on each position. OTOH when I set arming switch on each model the same way, I do not need to emphasise each position, as it is obvious. For a tip - you do not need to start the radio in the bootloader mode to use the SD card. Connecting the USB cable should be enough, unless you configured the USB for joystick emulation only.

Hi Steve. If we setup the modes in betaflight anyway then what is the advantage of adding the various ranges in the mixes? Doesnt betaflight override that anyway? Couldn’t I name something arm switch on my controller but in betaflight assign it to beeper or whatever? Thanks in advance.

I have one question, the S3 solder connectors on the back board of my taranis X9D Plus SE 2019 are marked GND - V5 - SP. What ist the meaning of V5 + SP ? 🤔

So can i not change the function of the switch on the radio without betaflight? Can set the arm/disarm to work, without betaflight?

Hello sir I'm new to this can you please help me I have a betafpv 85 pro2 and a jumper tx18 my problem is when I arm it the motor is not turning and about the throttle it is already halfway up before I can see the motors turn and when I pull it down the drone just jump and turn over, and when I push it beyond the halfway point the quad just jumps and zoom up. How do I fix that in my transmitter or betaflight Thank you

But why do we need the "Inputs" in the first place? What benefit does this give me when in the mixer, yes, I select the [ARM] input as input.. but then i have to manually select the SF switch there again? Can't wrap my head around it..

They are programmable just like the rest. As a multirotor pilot, I have never used them. I understand that people that fly planes use them a lot more.
