I am not local to you all, but if I were, I would totally be there this weekend to support you. I love how you and your family are working together to make it work and have more quality time together. I have to say, as a nursery customer, those plant tags with pictures and info are an invaluable resource to me. We have a couple of local nurseries that don’t bother to label their plants (at all) and I simply don’t go there. The people who work there can’t be bothered to help customers (assuming that we all already know everything about plants I guess) and they claim to be just too busy to label plants. Well … if they’re that busy, I guess they won’t miss my presence or my money. You’re doing a GREAT job!

I need to get better at labeling each plant individually. If I have a block of 100 plants,, there is probably 5 labels in there somewhere. But... I do have the signs, and people are always taking pics of the signs so they know what their plants are. I think they like doing that. At least that's what I'll tell myself. Thanks so much for the encouraging words.

Awesome on the chickens. You guys will be fine for opening. Looking good. Don't freak out. With your wholesaler you will be fine.

I love the holly for it’s chartreuse colours. We only have dark green ones here. And the birds eat most of the berries off it.

I know you're trying to hit all the bases at one time for opening day. But don't stress over it. You'll do well just selling what you have on hand. You could set a a special request box to see if there is something a lot of people are looking for. Then ask them to check back in week to see if you had a chance to find the plants.

I'm so excited for all of you I just can't wait for your opening day. Don't stress out it just isn't worth it last year I did before my sale day this time around I said ready or not I'm just doing it. Last year I stressed over rather I had enough plants rather they were the right plants that would sale and in my case everything ran smooth and I sold everything

I love the holly! Usually you would need to have both a male and female holly bush in order for the female bush to produce holly berries. i don't know how to tell them apart, but your customers might want to know. 😊

Have the chicks out where the customer's kids can see them. Make sure they are safe and can't be handled though. It is more work though because you would have to run an extension cord for their heat source.

Maybe next time you take it off use a spray can of white (or hot pink❤) to make marks on both pieces. Then you will have points to match. Just a thought.

In our state I buy a lot of scrubs. My next goal is trees.

You could biy plastic tags at dollar tree n write on them. Idk if it would be cheaper?

Not sure about where you live, but holly is reall destructive to natural areas where I live in the PNW. Its not listed as a noxious invasive because a holly farmer is on the noxious weed control board :/ So I would check to make sure it doesnt escape cultivation and get into forest areas in your area!

Is this day 3 or 4? title says day 4 but the video caption says 3? Congrats on the chickens! they are funny birds that seriously look for ways to die. I had one that stood in its water dish as the water froze around its feet... stupid chickens haha.

If you were here and could see the place with it and without it, you'd say "yeah, go ahead and put it up." It's just better. And, we'll be glad when we don't have to deal with it later.
