In times like today I turn to something comforting in which there were actors and actresses with real talent and writers who knew how to use words.

At 14 years of age during 1950, I was errand boy a local grocer who on several occasions deposited the weekly takings of £400 in the local bank. My delivery bike tipped up several times because the boxes were too heavy for the front of the bike. My wage was just 5 shillings [25 pence] for working Friday evening and Saturday morning and relieved 20 pence in tips from the friendly customers.

Excellent full upload of Open All Hours from 1982 M0BILETube from this the series until the final series in 1985 Granville would be referred to by Arkwright as an Errand Boy.

Yes it is Jumbo Mills. This was infact Nick Stringer's second and final appearance in the Open All Hours as he appeared in the first episode of series 2 as Neville who Arkwright goes to see about getting a new washing machine.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but, As Ronnie Barker (Albert Arkwright) is conning the guy into the shop it looks like one of the papers behind David Jason (Granville Arkwright) has a heading reading "CON MAN".. . 9:09

Have you noticed how the opening scene changes, including some of the ads being removed, etc.
