I have been gone for awhile, big changes in my life. I wanted to create something that added more fun to this experience, so I hacked my graph app to supply heart rate via a cheap BLE chest heart monitor device. The app is in C# and I got to learn how to use BLE in Windows 10 for the first time. I may open source the app at some point. Its very specific, but may help others understand how to get cool custom data overlays for videos going.
I like seeing the heart rate go high... its a good workout , its neat to see under what conditions my heart rate changes,... something as little as being closer to another driver sends the rate up a few points. .. I think it is possible to calculate a rough estimate of calories burned based on time spent and average heart rate. So I may tinker with that and add a calories burned chart next....

One step at a time, I used a mpu6050 and an esp32, that then sends a serial signal of the slightly filtered data to the pc for display.
