The Opel Calibra is a coupé, engineered and produced by the German automaker Opel between 1989 and 1997. In the United Kingdom, where it remained on sale until 1999, it was marketed under the Vauxhall brand as the Vauxhall Calibra. It was also marketed as the Chevrolet Calibra in South America by Chevrolet, and the Holden Calibra in Australia and New Zealand by Holden.
The Calibra was introduced to belatedly replace the Manta and to counter the Japanese sporting coupés of the period. It employs the running gear of the first generation Opel Vectra, which had been launched in October 1988. Calibra production was based in the Opel factory in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and the Valmet Automotive factory in Uusikaupunki, Finland, where production was consolidated in November 1995. The Calibra was initially only available with front-wheel drive, but from November 1990, four wheel drive became available.

That C20LET should be getting at least 5.8 seconds as that is the stock standard from the factory. I heard skidding have you made it front front wheel drive? It's slower than an unmodified Calibra Turbo 4x4 - please fix the transfer box! I heavily modified my Calibra Turbo 4x4 and locked the transfer box so it was full time 4x4. It would do 0-100 in less than 5 seconds with no skidding.

Had a 8v, was so exciting this Car. Now I am driving a BMW with 340hp and 500nm - would like to know how my old Calibra feels now
C20NE was strangled (although lower compression you could turbo it), C20SEH was a better engine IMHO. Red Tops though, free revving and such a strong engine.

all diesels feel slow. I have driven a 450 hp Diesel, even that felt slow. I hate diesels, they just always disappoint. The M550D is the pinnacle of disappointment.

@@jayturner2917 you are correct in the first sentence, I agree. That bothers me in diesels, they feel slow and they aren't really 😀. What diesel do yo have atm? I guess its fully bolted? Btw I had several Opels in the end of the 80:s, the best was a GSI, which had a compressor built in. Also I ordered it from Opel with all possible extras. It was just before the 16v in the Kadett GSI and Calibra came out. Since that I had only BMW:s from 1991 to 2021. Now I drive a Taycan 4S.

0:01 is my old Calibra from 2010. Its hot when Im revving it there. The exhaust is just full of holes, but its stock

Thats also a problem if you search to buy a Calibra. Mostly rusty or modified landing gear, exhaust or tuned in hp..
