The BMW E30 is the second generation of BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1982 to 1994 and replaced the E21 3 Series. The model range included 2-door coupe and convertible body styles, as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in 4-door sedan and wagon/estate body styles. It was powered by four-cylinder petrol, six-cylinder petrol and six-cylinder diesel engines, the latter a first for the 3 Series. The E30 325iX model was the first BMW to have all-wheel drive.
The first BMW M3 model was built on the E30 platform and was powered by the high-revving BMW S14 four-cylinder petrol engine, which produced 175 kW (235 bhp) in its final iteration.[6] The BMW Z1 roadster was also based on the E30 platform. Following the launch of the E36 3 Series in 1990, the E30 began to be phased out.

In South Africa we had the 325iS. It had a 2.7i I6 engine producing 155kw Evo2 and 145kw Evo1.

South africa had it all. they also have ford granada V8, they have always special overkill cars in every brand, i was jelous.
The 1,6l.... sounds so brutal, but when you look at the numbers... combined with the Diebels Alt bumper sticker... so hilarious.

Had E30 ,prefacelift 171 bhp version 325i , made from 85 to 87 , with 9.7 to1 high comp head , chrome bumper version , pity not listed as was faster than 88 on versions , had it 26 years , reg was E123CSN :-) in Zinnobar red . Great video by the way :-)

listed 325i had 8.8 to 1 compression ratio. from 88 on with plastic bumpers .

FYI the M10B18 you listed is an 318 engine (1.8) and not a 1.6. There is and 316 with the m10b16 and a 316i with m40b16, the 318i got m10b18 and m40b18.

The 316 in the video has the 1.8 liter M10. Until 1987, the BMW e30 316 and 318i had the same M10 engines with 1.8 liter displacement, at least in Germany. However, the BMW 316 had a carburetor with 90 hp and the 318i an injection with 105 hp. I drove a 1984 BMW 316 back then, which had an M10b18 engine with carburetor and 1.8 liters. Only from 1987 until the end of production did the second series get new engines, where the 316i also had a displacement of 1.6 liters. There are country-specific exceptions, but in Germany the models were offered and sold as described above. Until 1987 in Germany the 316 with the M10b18, 90 hp and carburetor and the 318i with the M10b18 with 105 hp and fuel injection.

What a lol! 318is is only was as 2door And this it DEFINETLY not stock 318is on your video. my got 8.7 to 100 on chip but cant reach 180 that fast

noticed that as well. The car in the video is either a 320is (s42b20/s14b20) or a m42 stroker - a 2l probably. Decently built M42b20 strokers get 165 to 180hp and can rev up to 7600 rpm safely. Oh and the "318is" driver can't launch or shift to save his life. That car should have done a 6 sec 0-100. There are sedan versions of the 318is - the us 318i got the m42b18 just like the eu is, and there were 4 door 318is and 320is e30s sold in oceania, sa and italy

My god, 318is is faster than my 525 E39. You should take it again, 318is is way faster than 9.3 sec.

My E39 523i is 170hp and 1495kg. Quite light actually for it's size and compared that it was bit bigger than it's predecessor.

@Deividuks Ašmenuks Wrong, it's not that they couldn't fit the i6, which they did with the 325i. It's the chassis balance and high revving from the i4 setup for DTM racing

Ther is no way 316 318 and 318is to accelarate like this i have e36 m44b19 and it doesnt accerate like this maybe it was in downhill

E36 is heavier and beside this, the M44 has a longer transmission ratio.
At least get clips of cars that aren’t modified.

Ima vise konja manje kila bolje vuce iz niskih okretaja i jos ovaj u videu ima 7k blokadu...snimke su vise figurativne da se vidi kako ide dok su vremena 0-100 stock znaci s neta jbg nemozes nikako imat idealne uvjete za usporedbu i jos uz to sve da ti vlasnici videa pristanu na suradnju...
so many useless engines on this model. It would be enough 318is, 325 and m3
