It's just another excuse to be an absolute sl*t. Being in an open relationship and polygamous/polyamorous is one thing. But openly stating that humans aren't supposed to stay monogamous is a massive red flag. Their partners clearly have no spine for agreeing to it. I bet top dollar that only the half-brother and half-sister have secondary partners and not their spouses. Guess those apples didn't fall too far from the tree, but at least were smart enough to make up some excuses to be openly unfaithful.

To be fair about "humans aren't meant to be monogamous" they literally learned it from a woman that has a husband and 3 baby daddies. Of course they don't think it makes sense to be monogamous, their "dad" is not theirs and only decades later did mom finally get punished for her actions but damage is done.

They both faked attempting self harm, its pretty clearly an attempt to hurt op and her reputation.

Having a 'family' like that, you don't need any enemies. But that the mother condoned the cheating, that was a given, seen as OP's mom herself couldn't keep her legs closed as if paying rent was depending on it.

Hahaha, why should people who had no sympathy for Op suddenly be given and get sympathy from her after what they did. If they tried to self harm that’s their business OP isn’t obligated to care nor be there to support them. They didn’t seem to really try all that hard to end it if you ask me.

Major Kudos to OP’s aunt and cousin for sticking up for and being there for her. They are her real family. I hope that OP heals from her trauma and moves on with her life. As for the ex, ex-best friend, and egg donor, they should be ashamed of themselves. Then again, the trash is taking itself out. May their Karma increase.

The two sibs with open relationships are full of it. An open relationship requires both partners to agree to it. They told him to clear it with her and he didn't, he just screwed the sister behind OPs back. That's cheating. The fact that they still defended him tells me their "humans aren't meant for monogamy" spiel is something the cheating trash they call mother had a hand in teaching them.

Tony should've divorce egg donor when she confessed that OP is AP's daughter instead of reconcile. Even worse, she still cheated on him and have more kids with AP. I hoped Tony disown his "kids" especially they knew about the affairs and have open/poly relationship.

I really hate cheaters like this, they remind me of Sue from the nuclear Christmas revenge. When the victim has every right to be mad, and they have no ground the cheater will opt to self harm. Whats even more pathetic is that some peeps fell for it. Peach clearly didn't plan to take her life because the wound wasn't even deep, and Alex is just a damn fool. I feel bad that people even debated what side to take, the answer is simple. Instead of taking the heat for their action, peach and Alex opted for the easy way out. Oh I knew it. For OP´s mom to condone OP´s fiance and BFF´s cheating. She either also cheated in the past or is currently cheating on her husband. OP´s mom is a special level of crazy. It is hilarious that like OP is ruining mom's life when she is actively cheating, has 3 kids all with different dads and none are the husband's, and is actively supporting a cheating couple. When OP was talking about the 3 dinners, I was thinking wait for the last one. Everyone will be there. Have all the text and messages shown on a projector (I'm not a techy). When she said how she arranged the mass text, I thought that was great. Sure didn't know you can do that. I do good to send 1 text. I was one of those people who could never understand how people could betray their own family, and then I got betrayed by one of my family members, there is no logic in it and it will never make sense. And that makes it hurt so much worse. I hope OP finds peace and healing for themselves. It will never be the same, but I hope they can find happiness in the new normal.

As someone who is poly and in a currently monogamous long-term relationship, I think OP's siblings are being really snooty about having open relationships. The fundamental parts of polyamory are the consent of all parties involved, boundaries, and good, I repeat, GOOD communication. "Humans aren't meant to be monogamous" is an icky take on polyamory; polyamory is not for everyone. Healthy polyamorous relationships take work from all involved to maintain and ensure no one feels left out or like they're replaceable. Not everyone has the time, energy, maturity, and/or motivation to take care of the needs of multiple people. I will also say that cheating and polyamory are not the same. And those half-siblings are kinda just adding insult to injury. I love my partner and would never willingly cheat on them. I know I'm polyamorous because i have so much love in my heart, not because my partner "isn't enough" or because I "want to see other people." If this doesn't make sense, consider how being heterosexual does not automatically ensure that someone will always be in a (heterosexual) relationship. They may be single or just mot wanting to date anyone at the time. It's possible to be content with what relationship you do have rather than what you could have. Okay, I was with OP until she said her step-siblings have poly relationships and nothing is wrong with that. Why on Earth is cheating even wrong if poly is ok? Do people think that if you just agree on having open relationships, that because you agreed, there will be no negative consequences? A lot of people think cheating is wrong because of the lying. For me, that's not why cheating is wrong. The reason I wouldn't put up with cheating and by extension - polyamory - is because the person I shared my intimate moments with, shared themselves intimately with somebody else. I don't feel nearly as betrayed by someone lying to me, as I would finding out that I was cheated on. It's so much worse, and I believe I would feel the same way - even if they asked my permission to do something like that. The answer would be no, and divorce or break up would be the next consideration for me personally, even had they not done anything with anyone yet. I think the people who defend poly are liars and I think the only reason they do so is political. I don't believe anyone believes that is a geniunely good idea. They are thinking it's an orientation or something, instead of what it actually is.

Monogamy isnt a sexual orientation, everyone can love multiple people at the same time. That is what makes monogamous relationships so special. You are taking the effort, sacrifice, and will to love only one person for the rest of your life. "Forsaking all others." People who openly argue they are polyamorous arent special they just dont have it in them to be with one person, they lack the willpower and fortitude. And that ok, but don't put your lack of mental strength and loyalty onto others.
