How'd that beautiful creature get so far south? Is she hiding from Perlman?

I know it would be a hard kitbash, but the Santa Fe railroad ran 4-6-4s around that area, not exactly in Alta California, but I had an interesting idea of turning one of these into a Santa Fe Hudson.

Believe me, this is something I've heavily considered. With BLI having come out with the "Blue Goose" version of the ATSF Hudson, it's only a matter of time before they come out with the unshrouded version, and when that happens I'll definitely get one. Otherwise the Westside brass examples are plentiful and not too expensive.

Very cool! Eventually, I would love to build an ATSF Hudson or ATSF Pacific in G scale, probably using an aristocraft 4-6-2, definitely not an MTH one gauge 4-6-4.
