Yes, I believe I will stay tuned for all of that.
I love the look of the back-side of those houses, well done! And that rainbow is a cute touch.

I'm so glad! The traction episode will be very cool since all of them are fascinating brass, resin and RTR projects
All of your work looka great! Looking forward to the Steamers

Oh yes! Very special plans for that DL500C as you know.
I have a sd45 but it’s a operator and in the SCL Black with yellow stripes
I love these videos, and I hope to be able to do similar content when I get around to doing my alt history/protolance Chicago and Northwestern layout, as I plan to have a bunch of locomotives that the Northwestern didn't own, but theoretically could have. Namely SD45-2s, SD60Ms, and most interestingly, their own pattern of ATSF CF7.
Great collection for a fictional, yet very prototypical roster. New and used locomotive, each with its own history, its own story. Fantastic work, it's so inspiring. And the filming and editing is superb as well, with the locomotives arriving on the scene for their introductions. Great job.
Beautiful locomotives here man! Can't wait to see Parts 2-4 in the near future
Beautiful stuff! I cant wait to see more. :)
I may need to do that with my c425, it needs a rebuild
Man, that C625 is cool. Maybe I’ll try doing one someday. Where did you get the trucks for it?

They're standard Atlas parts you can either salvage off of old "Yellow box" RSD12 or RSD5 models or order as parts direct from Atlas' parts department or off ebay!
Damn, locomotive a month. Looks to my pile. lucky

Yeah, it's been a wild ride somehow managing that speedy pace. Mostly because I have all the details, paint, and decals on hand, so whatever locomotive makes it to the finish line next is anybody's guess, mine included! The next engine that'll be completed will be an ALTA "Mexico68" painted PA, followed shortly behind by an NW2 in the original "citrus" scheme
Where do you track these details? Notebooks, digital notes? A spreadsheet? Fancy specialty software for model train people? I would love to see how you keep track of all these details.

So, broadly I set a "standard" suite of detail parts that most diesels I make will receive. Most units will get: -Firecracker Antennae -Leslie S3L 3-chime horn (Passenger locomotives get 5 chimes that sound even prettier) -MU hoses & Airbrake hoses -Sunshades -Grab irons & lift rings Then I crack open my twin set of spreadsheets (ultra nerdy) and first look at my all-time roster of locomotives I've picked for the ALTA railway from 1927-199X and see which number series the models need to be. Then I make custom decals for the locomotives, which include road numbers, ALTA lettering, "Radio equipped", and warning labels that go on the locomotive. Once they're printed out and sent to me, the process of detailing, painting, lettering and weathering each unit begins. Then I open the second spreadsheet and enter the new model into the "Complete 1968 ALTA model locomotive roster" and enter the completed locomotive data, the model I made it from, the road number and any other notes about it.
what do you use to make custom decals for your railroad's locomotives and rolling stock?

I make them from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, carefully designing my logos and type to be realistic to the time period. Then I send them off to be printed by either Fusion Scale Graphics or Circus City Decals. Both places do an excellent job.
I have a Southern Pacific Scale trains SD45 with DCC and sound for sale. It is HO. Brand new. I am n scale And would like to use the money for my layout.
Neat schemes and locomotives! I wonder if we will see a logo history and a basic history of the railroad, plus in its universe, if its still around.
