Yoda’s mum here, I am so glad Vanessa was able to groom him! I’ve been watching her since forever! Yoda gives the paw for everything! I’m so glad his personality really shined here, nervousness and all! 🐾

Yoda is adorable. What a well-behaved pup. Yoda: mom mom. You wont believe what she did to me. She made take a bath, and washed me with some smelly stuff. Then she had me stand in front of a wind tunnel. Proceeds to steal some of my fluff, and cut my nails that I need for digging. Can we please go home.

His mom's absolute joy on seeing her handsome little man absolutely makes the long trip from CA worthwhile. I have zero doubt that this boy is spoiled to the moon and back, and he deserves every bit of it.

I love his 'mom's' reaction! I think she was as excited to see him as he was to see her 🤩😍 Beautiful dog and beautiful hair cut!

My mini cavapoo went to the groomers yesterday. She loves going there and is very giddy when I pick her up. The groomer is so gentle with her being a nervous rescue fluff. She puts her clients pooches on her Fb page which I don't use but can access hers to look at appt slots etc. She always puts before and after pics and calls her little fluff as I don't want her name being used. Little Yoda was so brave🥰

My Havanese absolutely loves 95% of people, too. He is a medical alert service dog, which tells you how smart the breed is.

I adopted my Havanese at the age of 13. She was pretty timid for many months. I felt bad for her, but she's so sweet now that she's gotten used to us. And definitely goofy. I love her so much. What a wonderful breed that I never knew of before.

ugh, what a sweet boy! it makes my heart melt that he's so friendly and trusting that his first response to being scared is seeking comfort.

Omg so cute! And not only did they travel 2500 miles, that had to have a passport and go through customs! I bet that was hilarious - reason for visit? To take my dog to his first grooming appointment 😂

Shes in the biggest tourist spot in the country and one of the most popular honeymoon/bucketlist spots on the planet. You arrive in toronto and drive an hour or so, bringing your dog is pretty normal. “reason for visit?” “To see the Falls.” “Have a good time!”

Speaking of dogs coming from far away, I was wondering if you ever got any dogs that don't speak english? I see you talk to the dogs and they generally seem to understand your commands, but for example I'm from Quebec and if I were to bring you my dog he wouldn't understand "sit" or "good boy" haha

I remember one of my kids' videos on police officers (back in the VHS days), and a K9 handler at one point explained that his police dog was from the Czech Republic and could only understand commands in Czech. (A good way to keep "bad guys" from fooling the K9!)

My black lab grew up with English, but she understood everything in Japanese. Of course, she didn't understand "did you break this?" or "we are going home" in any language.

We have a German Shepherd who occasionally boards where I work (we also do grooming) and while he probably understands us, all of the commands that he knows are in German. His owner always includes a paper with the German commands for us.

I think to some degree they would understand tone of voice, especially if she is trying to calm or comfort them, but specific commands like sit might be more challenging. A Scottish sheep man with working border collies says if he uses the dogs’ commands in a regular tone of voice they don’t respond. It’s the words plus the specific tone they respond to.

Such a doll baby of a dog. Might be a good breed for me in a condo but can’t truly imagine life without a cat

I really enjoyed this transformation. Very beautiful and cute dog. A great pet type. The final results is proof of your skills. After seeing this, I would travel 70 miles, but 2500 miles would be a little too far for me. But the dog owner must have been impressed with your results with past groomings. Personally, I'm scared to death of large dogs. You're very brave. Dog whisperer. lol
