Thailand is one of the main countries for incredible street food. As a resident here it's definitely affordable and tastes pretty good.

@@LiveLaughLovecraft umm... Not really. You eat them for the novelty factor, to see the menu item you can't get in your country, but they're still being made with the same cheap ingredients.

They probably used this specialized ice shaving machine from korea that actually design to make bingsu thats why the ice is so fine.

@@ihatemirrors1216 my Thai daughter-in-law works in a restaurant in Phuket for THB 10,500/monthly (USD$300). She gets the same in tips. My stepson earns about THB 24,000/monthly(USD$700) as a crane operator. Yes, compared to the West their earnings are not flash, but they’re doing okay.

It isn't necessarily picky eaters. I am a firm believer that foods you don't like the taste of are foods that you are allergic to. We have taste buds for a reason. Listen to them and live another season.

As a thai person I can confirm, most local thai restaurants have encyclopedias as their menus 💀

My day in Thailand would go like: Brekkie: jok (rice porridge with pork mince) pla-thong-go (wee little fried dough bities) and a cuppa coffee. Midday: somtam, gai yang(bbq chicken) khao niao (sticky rice) bottle of water. Evening: a couple of bottles of beer Singha and some crunchy snack.

The last one called bingsu. It’s famous dessert from Korea and Thai people so into it.

Although it's called Tom Yum SOUP, it is meant to eat with steamed rice or fried rice. Thias make their food HOT for a reason.

The first menu is now Kao Tom its called Kao Chae which taste way different , Kao Tom is one dish food and eat while it hot which is different from Kao Chae thats serve cold and eat with side sweet savoury dish

Word you should learn in Thai is ‘Wan noi’ meaning little sweet when you order drinks. I’m Thai and I can’t drink that sweet either.

If you go to chaing mai you HAVE to find kiao soi It’s a coconut curry soup. Spicy but hella good. I ate it every day for months.

I'm from Thailand.I'm sorry to say but Kao Tom is not from Thailand. Kao Tom is a Thai word for Rice Porridge/Congee (probably chinese ,not sure) p.s.sorry for my bad english
