OnePlus Open 60-Day Review: Best Foldable Smartphone Ever?

Ғылым және технология

Buy the Oneplus Open amzn.to/469k2xa
After using the phone for over 60 days, it's finally time for our Oneplus Open review. I was surprised by how much I liked the Oneplus Open since I typically am not a fan of foldable smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold5 from Samsung.
For a closer look at the camera performance on the Oneplus Open, be sure to check out our Oneplus Open camera test.

The wireless charging complaint is so ridiculous on a OnePlus device when they give you ACTUAL fast charging AND the CHARGER IN THE BOX. Wireless charging is far less efficient and more damaging to long term battery health. KZread reviewers make the same complaints all the time about OnePlus but don’t complain that Apple, Samsung and Google took chargers out of the box and didn’t complain when Apple took away the headphone jack. Wha about those folks who bought nice wired headphones or earbuds? Please keep the same energy for these other OEMs that everyone always seems to have for OnePlus. Other than that, good review. But the wireless charging thing is so irrelevant given everything else that OnePlus has on offer here

Plenty of KZread reviews complained at the removal of the charging plug but it's pointless to keep complaining about it, it's been removed. Wireless charging isn't being removed as a feature. I still agree Fast Wired charging is more useful.

Great review there! I've recently changed to a OnePlus Open from a Pixel Fold (which I was pleased with) but this is on another planet. It resllys like a mini tablet when open, thanks to the lack of crease. Like yiu said, camera is very impressive. I tried the zoom module at 6x, then was just as impressed at 10x. Then I took a photo of a Robin at nearly 400mm full frame equivalent, it was still sharp with good detail. Certainly one of the best phones I've ever owned. Also, I must be one of the few without any wireless chargers. I do like the fast charging though.

With wireless charging you're still tethered to a docking station for a couple of hours or more. Like who needs wireless charging when your phone is ready to go in 8 minutes. Waiting on mine... was expected yesterday... now 12/15🤯 Only thing I disagree with here is your comments on wireless charging. 1. Wireless charging hasn't changed much since its inception, the only real change is that Apple jumped on board and brought magsafe to the table. 2. Speeds are tragically slow 3. The device is basically unusable while charging, as soon as you pick it up you break the cycle. Years ago I thought it was great but as time went on my wireless chargers went in a drawer due to the convenience of wired charging. One Plus takes that convenience factor to a completely different level. I think we need to start letting go of the wireless narrative until the tech starts to catch-up; a 3+ hour charge just aint it!!

I never said that 9 out of 10 people had wireless chargers. I said 9 out of 10 people who will buy THIS phone. There is a huge distinction between the two. Anyone willing to spend this much money on a phone is a tech enthusiast AND early adopter who is willing to spend money on new tech. That includes wireless chargers, which have been around for a decade. Just because you don't have one or use one doesn't mean others don't.

Just thinking of my group of friends/coworkers/etc. because think about it too, if all your wireless setup is only 15w charging you'd never use that anyway for this phone, you'd have to wait until new faster wireless chargers came into play...but then the phone tech only has the 15w charging. So it would be better just to plug in for 10 minutes anyway. Like the phone tech is outweighing the wireless tech at this point so it just doesn't make sense to wireless charge any phone really

@@stronggeekThe nice thing is, the 200$ trade-in in the US is separate from your actual trade-in value so they stack, and there's a discount for students, graduates, and first responders for 60$ off. So trading in my OnePlus 10 pro I'm saving 760$. It's still not an affordable phone though, after that's it's still 1000$ after tax. The 0% interest financing is nice though.

No. OnePlus is a sub-brand of Oppo now with BBK sitting one step higher.
