One-Sided Headache: Is it your TMJ? Tests and Exercises.

A one-sided headache is frequently the result of an irritation of the jaw joint (TMJ)
TMJ stands for Temporo Mandibular Joint and this joint sits just in front of your ears.
Irritation of this joint leads to:
* one-sided headaches
* earaches
* jaw pain
* neck and facial pain
* and could lead to occasional locking of the jaw.
In this video, you will find self-tests you can do at home to help determine if your headache is the result of an irritation of the jaw joint.
In the second part of the video, I will demonstrate very effective home exercises which will provide immediate relief.
In the last part of the video, I share 5 tips on prevention with you as prevention is always better than cure!

    I have been sooo depressed for 1 year in and out of the doctors office. I just want to sleep all day, very moody, eye aches, ear aches, lower headaches, temple aches. I’m praying for a miracle. 🙏🏼

    I just got my tmj adjusted a couple weeks ago and I cried a ton… I couldn’t control it … I’ve been waiting for years for that release. Some chiropractors won’t adjust jaw. And it was amazing. I can open my jaw super huge and I can turn my neck wayyyyyy more then ever before. I was getting headaches on one side. But I haven’t since 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

    I'm going to try these exercises as they look like they will really help. I had discovered putting pressure on my tongue to keep from clenching and thought it made sense. Wasn't sure I was on the right track and so only did it once in a while. Now that I realize how important it is, I'll try to employ this each time I catch myself clenching. Thanks so much!

    I'm wondering if the self massage needs to be done for 5 minutes all at once or add up to 5 minutes by the end of the day? For example doing 2 minutes here and there all day or even 30 seconds? Just whenever I get a chance. Thanks!

    Thanks for these tips. I found a very painful spot on my left cheek and at the back of my neck on the left, so I'm sure the massages will help. I have a broken jaw (broken for 16yrs) and it clicks quite badly and is often painful. Will these massages help to get rid of the clicking?

    Doc, are you familiar with cervical dystonia? I’ve been diagnosed with this umbrella diagnosis to explain some mild head tremors, neck pains and migraines: I’ve been told all I can do is get Botox injections (near my skull? Yikes!) or DBS (double yikes!) or live with it. But I’ve noticed my mandible is wonky, with a slight overjet and leaning to the right a bit, enough to adjust my lips makeup. Do you reckon there’s a connection with TMJs? My regular dentist never said anything... 🤔🦷 Thank you for the very informative videos!! 🤗🤗

    Rubbing one's hands down the face and down the sides of one's head is extremely impractical, at least for me. Face oil, stretching the face, all the hair in the way. It just doesn't work. I'll try the other stuff.
