They did show an absolutely amazing ability to squander large sums of other people's money. Unfortunately there's not much of a market for a business model like that.

Rule 1 of console design: if you are not Nintendo, just copy the SNES/Dualshock layout. Only Nintendo gets a pass on funky controllers. Lol

This reminds me of those early console kickstarters. How many of them came true? And how many of them didn't come out? How many of them ran into trouble? Selling a console without having even a working prototype does gives great hope right?

On another note: I love that they promise 8k 120fps HDR.... from that small box. Yeaaah about that. It is obvious they don't know anything about real hardware. A box that small makes for a decent if simple android box. And that is about it...

Absolutely spot on. There's a reason the PS5 and Xbox Series X are beasts. They need to space for cooling and airflow. This console, as you say, will be little more than a glorified Android box... If it ever sees the light of day, which it won't.

Update: The Amico trademark has just been renewed.

@@smillstill It was renewed on the 7th July. This video was recorded on the 6th and went live on the 7th. Are you saying I should be prescient? There was no mention of this on the official Intellivision Facebook page and I’ve been kicked from the Intellivision club Facebook page for failing to join hands and sing kumbaya. And the point about Amico being over stands. Nobody in their right mind is going to invest in this company now.

I remember everyone used to think atari vcs being a scam until it actually came out i always knew it was not a scam at all i actually have the new atari vcs i love what this new atari is doing i think it's a great underrated mini pc hardware i enjoy it i'm a new atari fan i know everyone else don't like what atari is doing that's fine too i respect everyone's opinion and preference i also think intellivison amico and polium one is not a scam to me at all either i think it's a good idea i love what they are doing too that's just me and i don't mind polium one copying gamecube logo either some companies copy others being unoriginal and i'm also ok if some choose to not copy being original i just want to share my difference unpopular opinion

It's an overpriced, low spec PC without much in the way of software as far as I can tell. It's difficult to make an assessment as it hasn't released over here and I doubt it ever will. I'm genuinely glad you are enjoying the console, though. On the subject of the Polium One, what makes you think it's a genuine product? Everything about it screams scam to me.

@@JoeChip I don't want to say what is popular that everyone else is saying i just want to think for myself have a mind of my own i think nobody is wrong and crazy for us having our own difference opinionknow this is not a popular thing to say but i have to be 100% honest i don't mind and don't care it's overprice it's not that overprice to me the price is not that bad and i also don't mind low underpowered specs pc i don't care about power graphics specs that's just me and i still think $400 is a good price to me as long it's not above that i also don't like not having alot of games i just embrace it for what it is i love what atari is doing i still think atari vcs is great to me in my eye i enjoy it in my honest unpopular opinion
