This is the best cooking advice I have ever received.

This + cornbread + pinto beans is a FEAST. One of my all-time favorite meals as a kid. Prolly going to make this for dinner now.

I just threw it all in at once let’s see what happens 😂❤ NO LIES TOLD!! This is so good!! I did add onion powder, garlic powder and Sazon tropical. Put a little chicken broth after browning everything to simmer . Covered and cooked for 15 min. When it was done I added shredded cheese on top , paprika , parsley OMFG

I would definitely put that on rice. Some brown basmati rice or jasmine rice. And maybe some hot sauce

I like to substitute some chicken thigh for the sausage, cubed it and crisp it up nice in a bit of lard, and hit it with a ton of garlic right at the end. Also great on rice if you're out of potatoes.

Another fantastic addition is Brussels sprouts. We chop all ingredients, toss in oil, spread on baking sheet, and season and bake for 25 mins

My kids, who are now all grown, still live when I cook this meal. It’s good as a side or an eat alone meal. I’ve been doing this for years.

I was just making kielbasa and vegetables but no potatoes... Now I'm wondering what I was thinking 🤔 It would have been more filling.

If you cut up the potatoes while browning the meat with the other veggies it says a lot of time. Then mix everything back together when the potatoes are almost done. Yummy.

Looks amazing but how did you manage to get that to $10, I swear I could buy all the ingredients for less than half that. Either way looks great

I make the cabbage kielbasa bell pepper and onion also. I start w the onion and bell pepper sauté, add the kielbasa brown and add in the sliced up cabbage. Then I add chicken broth after draining most of the grease from the kielbasa. I add a few pats of real butter and let it cook down till tender. I serve this with homemade cornbread. Even the kids love this.❤ 1 pit meals.are so much faster and less work.😅
