The animation is 25 years old! That's decades. So yes, the animation changes a lot over the decades. Part of the charm is watching it go from simple hand-drawn to the crazy color palette it is today

It's ok to tear up a bit when watching this as a fan. The One Piece world is a beautiful and emotional place. Once you experience the world and the story you are never the same again.

That last bit is what One Piece haters who say "I can't wait for Two Piece!" should see. There IS an end to this series, eventually. We're currently in the final saga in the setup arc for it. Chapter 1109, which hasn't come out yet, time of commenting, is threatening to reveal the catalyst for the aforementioned "event." It's a bittersweet time to be a One Piece fan, and I can't tell if it's more bitter or sweet.

Winner becomes justice... every none one piece fan misses this but that is insanely meaningfull line when you will catch up and realize full extent of that sentence

the reason the animation is different in different moment of the video it's because the person who made the fan video, took from different moment of the anime (Remember it's appear in 99 on anime so the tech was different) and the movies (more than 10 movies).

Dad, dancer you saw was Robin. She's from one of the movies and some of the things that look really good and you may not recognize at all or from the movies. That's what throws some people off in this so don't go crazy about it lol

The anime skipped it but the manga does have a certain very well known character on their expedition into space and encountering space pirated there... which is canon btw... not a random scene... it will probably connect back to the story eventually

Incorrect. I'd say like 70% is from the anime. Another 20% is from the OVAs (original video animation) and movies that reanimated certain earlier arcs in a more updated style (such as the Baratie and Arlong Park shots). And then another 10% is from the movies/OVAs with original plot lines that I think had Oda's involvement in some way.
