The ß in Außerst has an “s” sound, and it sounds like they are saying “oi-sarst” (and although I don’t know German, it may actually be more like ‘oi-surst’ considering German is close to English).

It's bugging me that there are apparently at least two different translations for this anime. The translation I saw was slightly different in some parts and very different in others. In the one I saw, Frieren says at the end "It'll be a mere ten year adventure" referring to the one they were just about to go on.

I think episode 10 is one of the best storytelling episode of any kind. the way the flashbacks are used is just masterfull!

The remarkable aspect of this seemingly unnatural English translation is that it not only matches the sounds of the Japanese language but also aligns with the meaning of the story. In many cases, it matches the sound of the beginning and the end of the lyrics. Moreover, after listening to the Japanese version several times, when you listen to the English version, there are parts where it sounds like Japanese despite being in English. ENG"That emotion melts"=JPN"daremoga mewo" and ENG"Completely deny"=JPN"kanpekijanai" etc .

The dark part of the song are phrases from the short novel called "45510" (The Password of Ai's Phone Number) that Aka Akasaka wrote along with the release of this song. In summary, the novel shows the origin of that password and the pov of Ai's ex-groupmate in B-Komachi. A curiosity, the old television seen in the music video is the hospital television where Sarina watches Ai's concerts.

I love how Frieren is about learning about relationships. Not only do we see Frieren x Himmel, Fern x Stark, but we also see the lovely mother-daughter relationship between Frieren and Fern. It’s so tender and dear.

While everyone else already mentioned it, there is something I want to add onto that, this episode it was kind of confusing on being shown observation haki future vision, but, in my opinion I believe they were doing what the manga does, in the manga when an observation haki vision is being shown the panels background will be grey. Notice how majority of the observation haki vision was grey, with some color mixed in (the laser from damned punk being an obvious one), they might be trying something new to indicate observation haki vision, or it's animators style that worked on this episode.. IDK like I said this is my opinion and interpretation.

@@moranijuju Oh, no, I agree, I was going to mention the katakuri and luffy fight when they use observation there was audio tone or a bell/ring and we saw the pupils turn red along with the vision. Or maybe oda told the animators how to animate different users observation because they all work differently, idk maybe im looking too far itno it.

you get it alll WRONG Shanks used Advanced Observation Haki to see what kidd is gonna do, and after see how Kidd destroyed his allies, Shanks said "fuck off" and in instant destroy him before that future happen so basically shanks can see the future 10 seconds head wich helped to avoid the destruction.

Kid didn’t attack anyone. Shanks just used his observation haki and saw the future. Plus I think shanks is gonna be evil and is gonna get merked by either Luffy, Blackbeard, or an elder/akainu.

When we were first introduced to Kraft, they already hinted at his great age. Besides the passing comment he made that Frieren was young, at their introductions, when Fern told him that she was the mage in the Hero’s party that defeated the Demon King, he asked Frieren, “What were you before that?” When she asked him what he meant by that, he said, “We are elves.” I took this to mean that with the long lifespan that elves had, perhaps it was normal for them to change their careers/classes/roles. So now we know that before he become a monk, he was an actual sword-wielding hero. Who knows what he was before that. So Frieren’s role now is mage, but who knows, in the future, she could become a swordswoman too… she was pretty nimble, dodging those attacks by the headless warriors of Aura’s army.

It's weird how this shows the slow horror of dementia. The idea of Frieren getting that in the future is sad, but shows we should appreciate and experience everything as it comes. Manga Is banging and they could probably do a S2 already.

I feel like because of the class of Kaiju Kafka's form is, it instincts kicked in sensing Kaiju no 2 own power and viewed it as a threat. So survival instincts kicked in and the inner Kaiju took over to preserve itself and its host Kafka. Kinda like Godzilla was an Alpha Kaiju and would battle similar kaiju in his class.
