Losing Alex is like losing a family member or a close friend we grew up with Alex jeopardy won't ever be the same Rip Alex ❤

So 😢 he seemed to be just a nice, caring guy!! RIP Alex!

Constantly hits me in the feels that Alex is gone. A completely humble and well rounded human being.. Alex was a legend, and legends never die.

Alex Trebek was a class act that will never be matched. HE will be missed by many.

Alex was Dignity; and Class Personified!! We were blessed to have known him!!

He was a Great man , He’ll always be Canadian but to be honest he belonged to the world . And the world is a little darker. To his Wife and Children, Thank you for sharing him with us over these 37 years. Be at Peace and good spirits knowing he is no longer in Pain. I bet my last dollar that he’s in Heaven right now playing Jeopardy with GOD.

I grew up hearing this man’s name and watching him. Just shows that time is passing by and we’re getting old. RIP Alex 🙏🏽❤️

Alex Trebek was not only a great Jeopardy! host, but a legend, a great man, a devoted husband, and a loving father

Dhruv Gaur May have lost 1995 of his money but he made a message millions of us can give to one of the greatest television hosts of television history.

A great Canadian. We in Canada, are going to miss you greatly Mr. Trebek.

I believe Alex was the most loved person on t.v. Plus, you never heard of any bad gossip about him. He was a true gentleman.

There are really no words to express the great loss we all feel at the passing of this man. He was great at his job, a true humanitarian, phillanthropist, husband, father, friend and son! I am reading his memoirs. The book is great written in a way that makes me feel he is sharing stories with a friend, ME! When he was exchanging vows with his bride, the pastor asked if he took her for his wife? He promptly said "The answer is yes!" All the guests laughed! No one person can replace another truly. What I hope for is a person to host that has qualities much like Alex. I think that's all any of us can hope for. RIP Alex

I miss Alex as Jeopardy host now and forever. My daughter, Dana, loved watching with me too and playing along. Tragic to me, my daughter passed away this past Jan. 2, at 49 yrs old. R.I.P Alex and Dana!

I knew him before he took over as host of Jeopardy when he was the moderator on the Canadian CBC networks school quiz show REACH FOR THE TOP. Rest in peace dear friend you really entertained me for the last 53 years.

My Mom loved watching Jeopardy. We would watch together when I visited her and after she moved in with me. It's been 12 years since she passed but I try to watch whenever I can. Will miss you Alex. Tell my Mom hello.

He was an amazing human being. So strong and courageous till the end. He will be missed by myself and so many others.

My father died of PCA and didn't live nearly as long after diagnosis. I'm glad Alex was able to make it as long as he did. Fly free.

Dhruv Gaur, the man who sent the “We Love you, Alex!” message to Alex during the Final Jeopardy! round. He really deserves a medal. I’m sure that such encouragement came in such a sad moment, and the reassurance and encouragement it must have been to see the fans gesture their kindness to him and their affection for him, it meant a lot.

Lucky me, I watched Alex Trebek hosting the Reach for the Top show in my teenage years. It was awesome when he hosted Jeopardy. His personality was the same then as now. I don’t think I will be able to watch Trebek’s Christmas show, couldn’t handle it !

I never once heard that man stumble over a word. U will never be replaced.

It says a lot about a man so loved in today’s age.

My late great grandma used to love jeopardy. I have memories of visiting her and i knew i would hear the jeopardy music and hear his voice hosting.

I AM FROM NZ. I watch Alex every time he is on. I just love him his dry sense of humour. I think he is funny and very knowledgeable. I just love him.

Alex was in my house in the last 35+ years more than anybody else. A class act all the way, and he will be missed. The show will go on, but Alex will always be part of it.

Alex was a real leader, and beloved by all! What a good man!

This brought me tears because I always watched Jeopardy with my sweet grandmother whenever possible, well into her 90s, and she loved Mr. Trebek. She passed away in 2018 and now I find myself teary-eyed over both of them. R.I.P. Mrs. B. and Mr. Trebek

I'm not even 1/4 smart enough to ever consider going on Jeopardy but that never stopped me from watching it in the comfort of my home and trying my best to act like I even understood some of the questions 😂. My ignorance did not stop me from enjoying the show and most of all the host Alex Trebek out of every show that's ever been on TV none have had a better host than Jeopardy! Alex made me want to know more he made me realize that even though I wasn't ever going to be intelligent enough to even get 50% of the questions correct I could learn 1 more thing today that I didn't know yesterday and that it was ok to want to be intelligent! They'll never be another Alex Trebek and the world's lost a great champion
