You know the KZread Builds, and you know the Clickbait Builds... But what builds are people actually playing?
I can't WAIT until we have an equivalent of POE Ninja for Last Epoch. For now, this review of the Solo Arena will have to suffice.
I have omitted Arena Waves, Character Names, and Account Names. There is no real "balance" in Last Epoch right now, so (in my opinion) it's not worth comparing the meta Falconer Arena Builds to the meta Forge Guard Arena Builds.
Note that this is a review of the top builds I discovered in the Arena Ladder. Success in the Arena does not necessarily translate into being a fast build, being a good boss killer, etc etc.
There's a small handful of builds I've skipped over, like Manifest Armor Forge Guard, for lack of a sample size -- even though it does perform well in Arena. I reviewed a TON of builds to make this video, but I may have missed a spicy one somewhere. Let me know in the comments if you see a notable omission.

This was really fun to watch as someone who also enjoys meta analysis with e.g. poe.ninja. Really hoping you do this again for next cycle!
The minus throwing cost the explosive trap builds isn't really for explosive trap, as far as I understand it. It doesn't matter too much what ET costs, you're casting it once and it spawns a gazilion traps and it still only cost once cast. The minus throwing cost is for acid flask, because each trap is casting acid flask and therefore you really want acid flask to be zero cost. If it isn't, you run out of mana and can't cast more acid flasks. But if acid flask is zero cost, you cast ET a couple of times and that triggers a ridiculous amount of traps to throw a ridiculous amount of acid flasks everywhere. Same principle for detonating arrow marksman builds. You need that detonating arrow to be free or your DPS is dreadful because you constantly dip into negative mana. But if you can get to free DA, the fireworks will get kind of ridiculous.
What is 'The Kestrel' for in the first spellblade build? More movespeed?

Are the Shaman Frostbite builds relying on Idols to summon their thorn totems? The first build doesn't show that but the second one has a single idol for 4-10% chance to summon on hit. I've been taking fury leap + upheaval to proc a totem but the idol way with thorn totem is probably better.
The last Bladedancer doesn't make sense. It has Explosive trap as the main damage dealer, but it also has Umbral Blade. Does the Umbral Blade do better single target damage even though all the affix are setup for cold damage?

Falconer is so op that i stopped playing an acid flask build because it was too strong
Torment + Spirit Plague is inferior and CB is what Warlock does best... Ghostflame Autombomb variant can hit 2.5-3m+ average EHP (much more actually, Tunklab doesn't account for ward/s) and potentially 10s of millions of DPS... No bugs required... Soon™... I've been enduring CoF pain while waiting to achieve my final form.... Soon™...
