A red winged blackbird dove at my head repeatedly while I was trying to retrieve a frisbee from tall grass. Only once I pointed to the frisbee and said I would mind its babies, did it allow me to slowly proceed - but not before it repositioned itself from up behind me, to in front of me on a low branch and watched me very closely. I swear, it called to others who took position on the lines above and spaced themselves out 20ft apart until we were clear of the field. Everyone who saw it had a good laugh. I had a new found respect for birds.

Yeah, they're super aggressive here in BC, Canada. I was picking wild catnip at a nearby pond and they have lots of nests in the tall brush. One started dive bombing me and I held up a handful of catnip and it actually stopped. I was pretty dumbfounded by that. I was able to fill my bucket and leave in peace. 😂

As for nominative determinism, I have a few: (I’m from the Philippines btw) - A male doctor whose name is Dr. Doktora - A metal worker with a family name of Panday (Filipino term for blacksmith) - As mentioned in the video, A Cardinal named Jaime Cardinal Sin - A family where the female members are discriminated or excluded as their family name is Bayag (Filipino term for scrotum) - A legless guy with a family name Walker There are a lot. These are all I can recall.

Non nominative determinism: Missouri's previous Governor: Matt Blunt- a staunch anti marijuana politician! Also coincidentally blunt about his position on Marijuana, so maybe both actually, don't know if they have a term for that. Multi Nominative Determinism?

Well I have one story During primary school 3rd grade, a student accidentally forgot to fix the bottle in his bag properly. So the bottle fell downstairs and hit my head, nothing serious ofcourse. He apologized and we pretty much had no contact with eachother.(We were 3 grades apart I think) Skipping to first year of highschool, I joined a group that teaches elderly to play board games, there was one student that likes speaking English as much as me, since we are in Hong Kong it is quite uncommon. Even though my school is an English school, each time after school we like chatting with eachother and became friends(BUT NO SHIPPING US OK I DON'T LIKE THOSE). Soon our mothers decided to meet, then one day my mother told me something I will never forgot. That student was also the student that accidentally dropped the bottle on my head 3 years ago. And we met by chance in an activity we both joined. How much of a coincidence is that? --Erin

I bought this shirt at value village with my grandmother and I was in the car looking at what we got. Didn't realize the shirt had one bra ring and the other side didn't. I was livid. Before we even got home we wanted to go get fast food and my grandmother comes back with a bra ring she found out front the store 😂😂

Love this series! It really does blow my mind!
I remember me and my brother caught a click beetle in our yard. We looked at it for a bit and watched it then decided to release it. I said "wouldn't it be funny when we release it a bird immediately grabs it." We release it and it flies towards a part of the house where small birds can enter the attic, a bird comes flying in, grabs the beetle, and enters the attic within a second. I start laughing but my brother looked heartbroken. Funniest coincidence yet.

i was once at a houseparty where at a specific time we were five random people sitting on a sofa (one of the others was my stepsister, the others i didn't know up to then). we chatted and got talking about birthdates. and, as EXTREMELY unlikely as it was, we FIVE people shared only TWO birthdays (three on january 5 and the other two on june 28). i mean, that is statistically more unlikely than winning the lottery and yet it happened, we thought we were in the matrix FOR SURE!:)

The Name thing is interesting. I was named Dylan after Bob Dylan the awkward singing mellow pothead. And i am a awkward Person (non-singer) Mellow pothead. And my Brother Jesse was named after Jesse James and like james he was a badass outlaw that did his own thing and never looked back (luckily never did anything badly illegal :P) but we always joke around that we were perfectly named to our personalities.

I ran into my doppelganger at dollar tree once. It was so awkward. We mostly just looked at each other in line.
Another example of nominative determinism is my sister. Her name translates from Hebrew to mean Song or To Sing. Before she knew this, she loved to sing, and took a couple classes for it. Even after she found out what her name meant, she kept on singing, and even tried to get a major in it! To this day, she loves to sing. She truly earned her name. Here's to you, big sis.
9:05 Prior to Battle of Kursk, during preparations, Soviet army recruited the best anti-tank artillery gunners and they had the intensive training to the point they could hit a particular spot on the tank. One of the most practised shot was - into tank's gun barrel. About their effectiveness during the actual combat is not that well documented, which is no surprise when we know how that battle evolved into pure chaos...
The Javelin one, it does look like it's going through the guys head at first, but once you see his left eye in the shadow, it permanently breaks the illusion.
Re the ring, I can also tell a first hand account on this from my mom: We went to the same holiday home for years. When the owners retired due to age, they gave my parents a few examples of the flowers my mom likes so much. We drove home, my mom (successfully) planted them, but found a ring wrapped around one of their roots. Called the old owners, was told it was a "backup wedding ring" the wife had worn during World War 2 and lost in that very garden some time in the late 40s. This happened in the late 90s.

Some years ago, a woman whose first name was Merry (not Mary) married a man whose family name was Christmas. To make the coincidence odder, she worked in an office where people answered the phone by stating their names instead of saying, "Hello." Imagine someone saying, "Merry Christmas," in July. A P.S.: In my entire life, only on one occasion did I meet anyone named Christmas. By coincidence, it was because I was eating lunch at a restaurant where a Christmas family reunion was taking place. I met a lot of Christmases that day.
