Once UPON a Word: When to use UPON vs ON.

When should you use UPON in English. It seems archaic but it's still used in modern English. Sometimes you can use ON instead but other times UPON is the only word you can use.

I love the word "upon", and whenever possible, I use it. It just adds that much poetry and charm to a sentence by itself. "Why not to meet upon the River Thames? Upon the Cristmas time, whilst all the rest ABOVE the ice is frozen, and we the two would be melting down the summer's love.... " smth like that; hmm....

Can you help me about how i can understand de phrasal verbs?
