I can only agree, goosebumps and the best descision of Sergio Leone. I believe her competeting actresses of this time and her similar age, Sophie Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Raquel Welch and perhaps Liz Taylor beauty stars too (by other meanings and preferences) could not play the role with such an outstanding expression at all close up scenes in their faces, only Claudia.

And 'Deborah theme' from Once Upon a time in America. From the music of raw and untamed masculinity of "Dollar" series, Leone was shifting towards a life where role of woman becoming more prominent in life. Both this and Deborah are predominantly feminine theme. Both among finest of movie score. Salute to Morricone.

Leone and Morricone. My God what those two alone achieved in this clip let alone their entire run together is nothing short of monumental. To think they were in primary school together, didn't see each other for thirty years, then happened to meet up and change the world of cinema. This is the pinnacle. Once Upon a Time in the West is High Art. And this theme is quite possibly the greatest of all time.

The storytelling of the scene is a masterpiece. It´s telling you everything you need to know about where she´s arrived, who, the condition of the town, society and historic time (kind of) You realize she´s arrive to The West, not the idealized west but somewhat more real and dangerous. A place where people needs to work for a living under a cloud of dust.

So glad I was able to see this and all the other Leone films in theaters on first release way long ago. Once Upon a Time in the West actually got little play or hype then, played 2nd tier theaters, Phoenix, AZ 1969. Back then, I couldn't find a soundtrack album; finally looked in the giant book at the record store, and found it listed under "Pop Titles" instead of "Pop Albums", and ordered it. Decades later, I got the expanded European soundtracks for this, GBU, and For a Few Dollars More on CDs.

This is a movie. It captivates you, it moves you, it makes you relate to the main character. Then tell me why for the past 30-40 years, we've been given shit over shit over shit on the screen of movie theatres. Superheroes movies, animated movies, all sort of crap movies....

Greatest western of all time. Monument Valley is an amazing place. Every few feet that you go through it the scenery changes into something dramatically new. Every picture that you take is better than the last. Ford and Leonne knew it.

Horseman -- Yes MV is in Utah, just north of the Arizona border. Find Kayenta, AZ in Google maps, then follow Route 163 north to the border. I hope you get there. You won't forget it. And you can also find the "arch" too. It is at 37° 7'45.83 N 109°58'24.87 W

I live in Texas and I've been to Sweetwater, Texas and it just mostly flat land with mesquite, desert, and cactus; no where near as majestic and pretty as that place. Thanks for the info.

There were a handful of film tracks that haunted me for a long time after watching the films they were in and they definitely played a big role in forming my musical taste. This one was among those and I cannot listen to it without gratitude for forming me and giving me bitter sweet memories. Thank you, Ennio.
