David Blaine is a real chef, so it definitely makes sense when he said he knew Gordon wouldn't like it, because if he were served that shit he wouldn't like it either. There's a sort of respect when it comes to chef and chef, when a chef goes to another chef's restaurant, they should be given a good meal.

The bit with Amy's will never get old for me becaause Gordon doesn't once raaise his voice or get angry or any of the usual things, instead he's mostly just shocked at the complete disconnect that the owner and his wife have from the reality of the restaurant and how hyper reactive they are to any inference that things aren't right.

Man, just how soft spoken and levelheaded Gordon was when he talked to Amy at the end, really goes to show that he gets angry at chefs because he cares and believes it’s what they need to hear. At that point, he knew there was no getting through to Amy, so there was no point getting heated.

Aussie culinary standard are extremely high. Poor restaurants would be rare. The coffee is average not as bad as English coffee. Aussie cakes and deserts are world class. The reds are some of the best. Your pies are probably the worlds worst. All of them. Only good pies are from the U.K and New Zealand. The U.S do probably the best desert pies. It's probably the meat. The best Aussie steak I would not use in a stew. It's dry, stringy, way too lean and no taste at all. Strangely the burgers are o.k. I remember an Aussie bakery opening up in NZ and their pies were the same as back in Aussie. They closed down quickly.

Unfortunatley he dosen't even knew what Twitch was in that Masterchef episode with a streamer cook in the show as she explained her cooking history/ career lol, so i doubt he knows much about modern entertainment/ memes as well...

I almost feel like that's what makes it so genius though, we all know the episodes and the amazingly bizarre moments (in fact, the joke of cutting to Amy only works if we're in the know), so when a perfect clip like that is left out we feel compelled to go watch the full episode just for that part.
