Daughter and I went truck hunting today and found some neat old iron. All are in my price range and I'm kind of partial to the 81 Kenworth with the Big Cam 400 and 6+4 spicers. Not crazy about the wagon wheels, but a newer clip with bags and buds would be a nice addition. Welcome your thoughts and comments about which one would be best to restore next once I'm done with my 359 Pete

Mr. Twin Sticks, you're a mighty adventurous man to even contemplate doing a 2nd truck without a shop but I'm 100% behind you from here on the couch.
Most parents can’t keep there kids off of the games and phones. This guy has his DAUGHTER out in a field shopping for project trucks and she loves it. You’re definitely doing the whole parenting thing right buddy.

The mint one is what I’m leaning to. PLUS ITS GOT THE MATCHING GLITTER KNOBS
Third stick is for the winch. It’s a manual pto drive. Forward neutral and reverse runs of the a box so you have four speeds. You put your main in neutral select the gear you want in your aux then shift the winch into forward or reverse. Note if you use 1st in your a box and have the truck idling you can barely se the winch turn. If not in neutral can do lots of damage. On another note if you get that old girl I have a chrome oilfield bumper I could give you a decent deal on. And you could check out my old 92 W900L that I use for specialized haul.
That green KW would be a great project. Probably wouldn't be too hard to get running again. You don't see too many of them with Dayton spoke wheels, so that kinda makes it unique along with having twin sticks. You might end up liking the Daytons later on.

I LOVE that people preserve that wonderful old Trucks....it must be ONE HORROR to restore them but so important that it gets done.
Old truck yards are so cool..!! Thanks for taking us along.
😂you and your daughter really have a great sense of humor
Correct. 3rd stick is for a joey box. Turns an 18 speed into a 36 speed! Used for heavy haul. There was a old Mack in Australia that had 3 sticks

Twinsticks sees 3 sticks........mind blown 🤤 lol
Nice to see some other kiddos my age into rigs. I'm 15 and work at a wrecking yard on my spare time. We have an old 359 wrecker we're in the process of building, an international with a Holmes bed and a 290 Cummins which we don't use, a W900L with an aero1 sleeper, a 3406b and a 15 speed, and a cabover Freightliner.
Wish we had truck graveyards like this back in the UK I would be there all time looking for something like this you follow your heart and keep on bring these iconic trucks back to life
Keep the "wagon wheels," part of that trucks history!
I love how excited your daughter was about it. Go for it, you know we are behind oyu.
359 twin sticks love the 3 stick w900 for your next project, like that you are looking dot a new project. Cant wait for the next 359 video. Keep up the good work have fun with your daughter on your mission good luck 😀
A thriller , every time you open the cab door, thinking something jumping out.. you and your daughter having such a great and fun time together.. she will never forget special moments with her father.. she will always shareish these memories close to her heart ♥️
JPDirt and the Welker's will surely follow a long and give helpful encouragement..fantastic opportunity for the Family..look forward to this series..
That crusty green Mack was asking for love. So much potential everywhere! Wish I had the skills needed to work on these trucks and get them running and road worthy. Love your vids Twin Sticks! Peace from the States
You're reaction when you saw the 3 stick. HAHAHA!
I’m digging the needle nose kenworth LW. Good old Canadian logging truck with a big cam Cummins. I foresee a pilot hub convention in your future
Love the enthusiasm in your voice 😎😎
New name for the truck, MINTY
man thats the best looking Kenworth i've seen oh man don't put bud wheels on that ole girl leave it El-Natural even with 6 rod rear suspension for a smooth ride put parabolic 2 leaf springs on front man that green truck looks awesome with Malco spider hubs dump the winch off and put old school 46 inch centurion sleeper (climb through back window)bolted straight to chassis
So true emotions, love it.
Green KW reminds me of the Movin on truck. Imagine painting it that green again. Wow! Love 70s rugs.
It always amazes me how beautiful the old Kenworth’s were they are such glorious rig it pains me to see what has happened to theses glorious rig the neglect poor rig
I like the double mint twins truck lol
Oh it's got twin sticks reaction was priceless!
I admire you dude. Restoring one of those things is on a whole nother level than a car.
you cant just leave us on a cliffhanger like that! ahah looking forward to videos to come
Some sweet needle noses there! Love you your daughter is getting excited too- that's awesome!
This is awesome could watch allllll day
You Sir, are living the life!
come on man you left us hanging lol cant wait lets get the party started
oh my god that old bed truck is soooo cool!!!! could just picture it out on a lease back in the day pulling rigs!
That blue three stick, really gets me all hot and bortheres! You should do a coop with Deboss and Halfass Customs, doing a needle nose with a hot Big cam Cummins, twinstick and let halfass do the paint and body work! Epic I tell you!
You excitement in this is amazing
Good ol trucks back in their day but hard to beat the creature comforts of todays rigs.
Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I see an alert on my phone that twinsticks has posted another video and my life gets put on hold and directly to KZread I go!!! I can’t wait for the next truck!!!
Hi I have just watched all of your first project and loved every minute I was very pleased to see you are starting a new one I have never driven a truck but I enjoyed the the engineering side of the videos well done from England 😎
I agree. The mint green w9. That would be awesome to see that project and see it back on the road
Love seeing all these old rig moving trucks, I would love to hear the stories that the drivers had.
Sweet mate another project coming up looking forward too it 👍👍 regards from south London England 🏴
I really do enjoy watching your videos I've been watching since you started your Peterbilt truck you do really good work

Add a sleeper to old minty lol
Yes, yes, yes Sir. Please buy that green truck (the three stick trucks are too far gone in my opinion). I simply love nearly anything that is green ant this truck reminds me a bit of TV series "Movin' on" (Sonny Pruitt). Great to see or let's better say to hear that your daughter was with you to check out some opd iron. Congrats. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health.

How do you come up with its A6X4 . This out of be interesting.
The old blue Kenworth, looks like one has a naturally aspirated 220, the one with a turbo is probably upgraded to a 262, both look like top load timkins or possibly Mack rearends one has the Kenworth Big 6 rear suspension and the 3rd stick runs the power tower on the auxiliary! What a cool treasure trove of antique classics! Thanks for sharing

The old blue butterfly hood Kenworths are LW models! Cool old trucks and not near as popular as the W9’s but still a cool era of trucking
Get it!! That way we can see who finishes first lol. Give me some more motivation
Still working a '79 W900 on the farm in Texas with 5&4. Drag a trip axel mechanical neck (folding) lowboy with it mostly. In mine, the third stick is for the PTO on the power tower aux trans. She is rough, but gets the job done. I'd like to try that Joey box splitter. Hmmm. That would be a fourth stick! Now we are getting somewhere! Have a great day!
Very minty or mintiness. Lol! 🤣 Hats off my friend. Kool daughter. 🤟👍
Love the sonny pruett movin on color my favorite color of all time
How about restoring a B series Mack? I remember from my childhood when they were all over the roads. "Thermodyne"
I think that's going to be Mindy the minty👍👍👍👍👍👍 you can do it you can bring that old girl back to life👍👍
Loving your daughter's color commentary. Good luck on the hunt, as a fan can't wait to see the process. I am getting excited. Fyi, my employer has a Western Star day cab with Mercedes engine for sale. It runs just needs TLC.
you need a 70's cabover Freightliner for a good mix , great channel!
I would love to walk around a yard like that. Just to see and touch the old iron
WOW amazing rigs ! I am super jealous . Have fun out there !

That’s what I did. It’s a great truck
My buddy and I restored a 73, 74 kenworth that was originally black and gold like snowman's. But had single stack fuel tank and also single air cleaner
That is a beautiful old Kenworth! GO FOR IT MAN!!! This truck like a great 1 for a project, but it would be nice if you could find another white steering wheel like that but in new and good condition. That would be a real cool idea!!! If it's okay with you.
At 1:50 I got really excited because the red and yellow truck is almost identical to what my great grandfather had during the 1950 to the late 60 tell we went out of out of business. The company was out of Denver Colorado. We were a meat hauling company. My great grandfather and his family up and moved over night to Phoenix Arizona and start from scratch with only 2 cabover freight liners out of the 45 trucks we had. The only difference is it’s a fiberglass hood and the yellow strip hooks down. Everything else is identical. The company name was Hudgins brothers and son co.
Really nice Project that Minty Kenny. I have an 359 13Speed Double Over with 3 Axles in the Back on Twin Wheels. I love that Sound from the Cummins Engines. But now back to the Kenny. It's a nice old Lady. I will restore a second Rig. Mack, Kenny or Pete... I don't know what it will be. I have learned a lot from you in your Videos about Technic in Trucks. Many thanks for all your Videos Keep head up and go forward.
Some of them are looking sweet !!
I vote save it. You can't beat a good old Cummins 855 block. They just refuse the die. That's why the US Army used them in there trucks for almost 20 year's. Everything from 5 ton m809s trucks up to 20 ton m920 trucks. 5 tons had Nhc250 small cams 855s and the m915 14 ton threw the m920 20 ton had the Ntc400 big cam 855 blocks. I love the theses engines. Put a 1500 watt block heater on them and they will start in sub zero weather no problem.
That blue truck has written on the door "LUPUL"! That's a romanian word for "THE WOLF". This is my favorite!
I’m really looking forward to the up coming vids, I’ve often thought of doing this again with an older truck like a needle nose Pete or Kw. I wonder why folks would cut off a the crane just to weld it back when you just unbolt it and bolt it back. Of course you’d have to drill a few extra holes.
My grandpa had a kenworth w900 with the visor on the front of the hood. One day he was stopping at a red light and he didn't see the little car in front of him (because of the visor) and he bumped the little car
Hi Larry, Here we go again, go with the Kenworth with the spider wheels that's what we call them here in Australia. You can still order new Kenworth's here in Australia with spider rims. Blow them out so they can take super singles tyres 385/75R 22.5 & get the outer rim chromed with painted centre it will look unique & tough, very common here in Australia with outback road trains. Can't wait for the next built hands up the Kenworth Louis from Australia
I love this video!
You found Lupul old trucks. He was a great house mover. Had super nice stuff. Shame to see it rotting in the bush. Those old trucks pulled many grain elevators
Those dayton wheels give it real character.
We're all fantasizing about the needle noses, but the green 900a is realistic, some nice aluminium wheels, a single bunk sleeper and tall stacks, then make her into a souped up big cam 3 lol
Very cool Kenny.
Minty beautiful!
Always liked the k100 cabover
Those old girls will definitely build up your arms and forearms especially if they don't have power steering lol very nice trucks can't wait to see the new build
The name of that movie was over the top good movies sad to see these truck rotting away need to back on the road
Get the minty one. The twin stick shifter knobs are pretty sweet
Great tests in Trucks sir💯💯💯
Find me a Pete cab over with the squire head lights have looked every were would love to have one great video
Minty is the easier one to restore, and looks like most of it is either functional or not in too bad of shape to repair. Plus who wouldn't like sticks with matching minty knobs? Those 2 old house haulers sure would be good.....but a LOT more work. I say let the kid choose and keep her interested in cool stuff!
Love the enthusiasm for a 2nd project, but really wish you would finish the 359 first!! Want to see that thing all painted up before you spend resources on a 2nd one...😎 I watched all your videos, am buying a 1979 Pete 359 myself and will use a lot of the info I learned from you in my restoration...

I love the wagon wheels. I been trying to find a set in WA. But that twinny KW is nice.
Next new interesting project?I have hope that will be more interesting form last.Good luck.
definetly diamonds in the rough. you got the right attitude and skills to build one just get after it
Minty green KW with Saskatchewan Mags up front and Chicago wobblers on back. haha. What would top it off is an 8V92 "Jade Grenade" and you'd have total "Minty" green package, over and under the hood.
That first pete got my attention 0:13 would love to own one of them!
I like the green KW!
Man i would like to get one of those old needle-nose hoods for an old Kenny i got
That looks like hendrickson suspension. I've got that on my 73 Pete and it doesn't ride so bad. At least it's not on rubber pads!🤪
Would love to see you take home that green KW!!
I like the mint color truck!
"oh my God, there's a mouse". She handled that pretty well.
Love what you did with that Pete. But that needle nose has my vote. This is the one you need to do

Came to say the same thing, though I think we're in minority. I see a lot more that like the 900 instead. Either one will be fine with me, but I've always liked the looks of those old needlenose KW's.
So lucky u can find old trucks
