Today I'm at Big Horn National Forest in Wyoming where I make some fresh bread with my Omnia Oven. And I take a short hike while I wait for the dough to rise!

yeast-based bread dough doesn't have issues with sticking to the baking pan so baking it directly in the pan without the silicone insert gives it a crispier crust, if that's what you're into. another tip is do not open the lid during baking, resist the urge and the top will also get a crisper crust. a big tip to prevent burning on the bottom is to ignore the instructions that come with the oven and do not preheat anything, just set the stove to a low flame and place the cold oven full of food on the stove. this oven requires much less heat than you think it does... i've had mine for 5 years and it's a great cooking tool, highly recommended.

Thanks for the tips, marzsit! I'll have to try it without the silicone insert. And, I havent tried it cold (without pre-heating) so I'm certainly interested in the results it will produce!
My favorite bread recipe is “No-Knead Honey Oatmeal” with Steve on KZread.
Thanks for the video and your tips. The hike view was beautiful!!

Thanks, Bernadette! This spot has awesome service too which is sometimes a rarity when you're in the middle of nowhere! And yes, the hike was lovely 😀
Nothing smells better than fresh made bread .There used to be a bakery near where I lived smelling the fresh made bread and rolls there always made me hungry. Nice hiking trail in those woods with beautiful relaxing stream .

Could be! The hike actually continues across the water and on to the opposite bank but since I injured myself on that zion warer hike recently I said, "Not today, Death"!
Ok... OK... lastly... DO TELL. Offer link if you have one... what is that "bundt" style pan you baked the bread in? Some kind of stove-top pan that allows one to bake stuff in? Looks interesting. ** EDIT... I see the link below after you mentioned it. haha.

Lol! Mmm...bread!
Instead of using powder yeast have you thought about using a natural starter

I would love to try that, Pat! My concern is keeping the starter alive with the dramatic changes in temps I experience. How much work does it take in general?
Where did you get that collapsible mixing bowl?

The landscape is wonderful, but I wanted to learn more about bread, like you.
