Jimmy Carr is not just a one liner comedian. He’s also very intelligent. Idk if you saw his intro to this but he essentially says: “Many people ask me what is the most offensive joke?” And Jimmy replies: “Well I can’t tell you the most offensive joke because offensive is taken, not given, that’s just how it works. But I can try.” 🐐

In my opinion one liners are some of the most difficult forms of comedy to pull off well. Frankly the less words spoken the more impressive. I can't remember what it was but there's even an infamous 7 word joke Jimmy tells Not that long setups can't also be an advanced form of comedy, I'm just saying extremely short setups are also very difficult

Another British/ Scottish comedian is Frankie Boyle, he is great at getting the audience involved in his shows. Comendy is comedy and seriously if you go to Jimmy Carr's shows man he is vicious! I lived in England and went to one of his shows and it was great but man he is crazy brutal. And you just have to understand HE DOESNT CARE. and personally I think that is what makes him a great comedian. If you go there expect to hear offensive things but just go with it and understand that he is not a bad guy. It is his show and gets that it is just a joke. Take a breath and let it go.

@@LETZLAUGH1 Jimmy Carr is absolutely mainstream in the UK, he's on the TV all the time. Idk if you saw his intro to this but he essentially says: “Many people ask me what is the most offensive joke?” And Jimmy replies: “Well I can’t tell you the most offensive joke because offensive is taken, not given, that’s just how it works. But I can try.” This comment comes from: abducteeofearth1703 Their brand of humor is quite a bit different. They mock themselves all the time. They crap talk their country and government as much as they are allowed (The BBC is run by the government. They decide what goes on tv and what does not) I love the comedians over there because, they can make anything into a joke and it's only words. They can take getting used to before you can really appreciate that it's just not serious. It's all meant in good fun. Same with Don Rickles (U.S. Comedian from the 1960s all the way until his death in 2017. He also starred in quite a few movies. Understand something, Don is an insult comic. He has no hate, no prejudice. He became well known for it and no one hated him, he was well beloved. In fact, to be insulted by him was considered an honor. Because in reality behind his comedy, he was a very warm and loving man. Very sarcastic and extremely quick witted and had no problems calling you out on your bs and had zero issues with being called out on his. He was just a genuine man that made comedy different and taught us that words only have power, if you let them and everyone chose to see the truth.) Frankie Boyle (Scottish Comedian) Ricky Gervais (U.K.) From me. Micky Flanagan, he’s a great story teller rather than a one liner comedian. You should check out his “The demise of fingering” or Men are useless. Another British/ Scottish comedian is Frankie Boyle, he is great at getting the audience involved in his shows. At his shows the front row is not the place to sit if you’re thin skinned, check out his Audience annihilation Parts 1&2. This comment about Micky above, comes from: chuckyboy6977 Half of this information comes from 3 other commenters. Figured that since I like commenting directly to the channel owners, I could make sure their information got seen as well. And...I will never take credit for something that anyone has done. You should also check out riskest jokes part 2. It's even better. Also from me.

Jimmy is of Irish descent but raised in the UK. He is massive over here, has a lot of TV shows. We Brits like our comedy to be 'Edgy' and I assure you, there isn't one comedian in the USA who could even come close to Jimmy, all too worried about being 'cancelled' whereas Jimmy doesn't give a fu**. I would recommend Frankie Boyle, who worked with Jimmy, but I'm not sure you're ready for Frankie yet, looking at your faces lol.

This is my kind of offensive comedy. As opposed to comedy that includes bullying, belittling, or bigotry towards marginalized groups... I don't find that funny. Now, if it's in good fun, observational, that's fine. But outright picking on, hating on... well, that's someone disguising their rants with a few jokes they think are funny. And really, that's just someone being a bully, talking negatively about different sections of society.
