The fritzell joke he's referring to is a guy who held his child captive for 18 years or something and also fathered her children. He held her captive in a dungeon he built in the basement without his wife even knowing. Apparently.

Jimmy Carr is a master at dealing with hecklers. His joke about him having similar views as Starbucks refers to tax avoidance, a scheme Jimmy had used

@@matthill3293 obviously, but if you notice, before he tells any edgy jokes, he starts with I'm going to tell you s joke. Which disarms people before they can get offended. Most comediens don't remind everyone that it's just a joke

People that go to his performances know what to expect and look forward to his edgy humour.

There was a very brief mention on a joke about another Jimmy. Not sure if anyone else mentioned but that is referring to Jimmy Savile. A famous UK personality who’s actions with minors came out after his death, which was covered up during his life appearing on TV.

Gary Glitter had a lot of groupies who, let's put it this way, were not old enough to drive.

The difference is some people know the boundaries of political correctness and don't take it to extremes and understand comedy, whilst others who don't understand the flexibility of comedy need their balloon of pomposity popped at every opportunity.

I honestly think most people don't get overly offended, it's just that the ones who do are the most vocal. Very few people I run into in person are like that. Then again, I live near Boston and we are known for our idgaf attitudes lol

He like all the other British comedians get away with it in the UK, cause we love dark humour and got very thick skins

We have all got to realise this an act. In my opinion we should be able to laugh at what's funny. Jimmy is funny. If you're watching TV and you don't like it turn it off. If you're gonna be offended by a comedian don't go. Please react to Chubby Brown, another genius.

Of course it is, but don't get mad that its offensive when both the title and intro tell you its offensive. That's like stabbing yourself intentionally and then trying to sue the knife company 😄

Jimmy is hilarious and his delivery is well done. He isn’t as dark as Jeselnik though. Anthony Jeselnik is a bit darker and has a darker delivery. I think everything should be open for comedians because when they’re on stage you know it’s a joke so if you’re offended knowing it was a meant as a joke it’s on you. I don’t think certain dark humor jokes are funny but I would never take offense to anything. I for the life of me can’t understand how someone is actually willing to let another person’s humor affect their mood. Walk away or don’t laugh and hope it gets better but by voicing the unpleasant feelings it’s opening you up for worse jokes to get a rise. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Atleast now u see the difference between US comedians and British comedians.

Yeah apparently with headphones it sounds okay on my end but then on the upload its quiet, I have tweaked settings since and hopefully future videos are better.
