Truth is, you think you can drive drunk, you can't. 'I wouldn't drive after two pints, but I'm okay after eight!'🙄
Never drive drunk! You are never ok! You just think you’re ok!🙏

We do have the right to bare arms in Australia. We are just advised to put sun screen on.

You can't drive drunk. Whenever you feel like that, fire up your Xbox/PS/PC and try to beat your best lap time in any driving game. Trust me, you can't.
When it comes to people talking about Amendments, they just need to be reminded of the 18th & 21st amendments, they prove that if there is a political will to do something, things can happen.
"Dont let the fact you have a gun change the person you are" Well said. Very well said. The person with the bad ass dog is always a weakling without it.
I’m glad I live in a country where people don’t think they need a gun. Our police don’t even have guns. I feel safe walking in any neighbourhood in the country.

what country is that? I live in the NL's where a lot of people have the same idea as you when it comes to owning guns. yet every lowlife criminal owns a gun these days or at least can get one for less then €300 within a few hours.
I love guns! Jim is hilarious!
People act like you can't own a gun in Australia you can you just need to pass the screening first which is a criminal check and your medical check pertaining to your mental health history if you pass that and pass the gun safety test you get your gun licence and legally use a gun no we aren't aloud to have semi automatic weapons and we aren't allowed to carry them as civilians out side of our property ( unless hunting or at a gun range) and you know what we haven't had a mass shooting since the laws were passed. I personally believe violent offenders and crazy people shouldn't be allowed to own guns but hey that might be just me.
Man I had to do a double take when dude said Pimlico. I haven’t heard that place mentioned for YEARS.
It’s all about automatic and semi automatic guns and background checks to make sure your not crazy. if your on a farm which are many it’s heaps easier or a gun club

There's actually quite a few American reactors who've all reacted to Jim Jeffries Gun Control bits. They all agree with Jim (despite them having and liking guns)
The 2A would probably be fine if people read all 27 words of it, translated them into 18th-century vernacular, and then read a few boring history books for context.
Yes, the 2nd Amendment can be changed. It requires 75% of the house and senate AND THEN ratification by 2/3 of the states, so roughly 34 of the 50 states. Now, look at one of those red/blue election maps and you tell me which 34 states would vote to gut the 2A. Take your time and good luck! 🍀

@@TA-wg9oi it's not a 3rd world country and even if you claim it is it would be due to economyic policy, not guns. Finland, Canada, Austria, Norway and Switzerland are all countries with about 30 to 35 guns per 100 inhabitants (according to wiki) are those 3rd world countries?
@TA-wg9oi

@@laziojohnny79 No, they are definitely not 3rd world countries.....Firstly, they all have no mass shootings and secondly, only the USA has severe homelessness, 49% of citizens live in poverty, only the USA has it's citizens rely on 'tips' to survive and most low income workers need to work 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet. The countries you mentioned also have a free tax incentive healthcare system (including the UK and especially Australia - best system in the world). Thousands of Americans declare bankruptcy every week due to unpaid medical bills. The USA also has a below average education system to world standards.... The problem is.......Americans just don't 'get it', how great other countries live....or it can be put down to 'just ignorance'. It's quite sad to visit the US and see how many live on the bones of their arse..... P.S. Trump called the US 3rd world!
There are 26 states with permitless concealed carry freedoms Washington, D.C., has the highest rate of firearm-related homicides even though it has strict carry laws 83% of states with permitless concealed carry have a homicide rate at or below the national average 45% of states with no permitless concealed carry laws have homicide rates above the national average 3 out of 5 of the safest five states in the U.S. have permitless concealed carry 2 out of 5 of the top five most dangerous states in the U.S. have permitless concealed carry, and 3 out of 5 require permits for concealed carry 84% of states have a lower violent crime rate in 2022 than they did before permitless concealed carry .... I'd vote for having the 2A in the EU as well.

Sad that men whose ancestors weren’t allowed firearms for the specific reason of preventing revolt wouldn’t understand what the second amendment is all about. Ultimately, it was men with guns that, thankfully, freed them.
When the second amendment was written people didn’t have guns, they were new a strictly military tools, the right to bare arms never referred to guns

There’s plenty of founding father letters who wrote the constitution debunking this. Jefferson, Madison, Washington, Hamilton and the federalist papers… you can find 20 or so founding fathers writing about the right to bear arms and they all agree that the individual has the 2a right. Militias are a group of armed citizens btw, militias are not the government. There are legal militias in parts of America still this day.

Jim is a funny guy, but he does exaggerate a bit, firearms have never been banned in Australia. I’ll go into more details below, but here’s some USA stats from last year: * There were approx 640 mass shootings in the USA in 2023 (mass shooting = 4 or more people shot, either killed or wounded). *Those approx 640 mass shootings in 2023 average out to 1.75 per day * There were 40,000+ firearm related death in the USA in 2023. * In the USA there are MORE firearms than people! Being an Aussie, guess which country I’m going to be safer in? And it ain’t Merica!! Back to Jim, firearms are not banned in Australia, actually there are more registered firearms here today compared to back in 1996. But..... Since 1996 we have introduced stricter licensing and registration. Any Australian can apply for a firearm licence (except for those with a criminal record or a history of mental illness), but you have to have a ‘valid’ reason, such as: sport shooter, hunting, collector, farmer, pest control, etc. Licensing is also strict regarding the ‘type’ of firearm, eg, semi-auto rifles are restricted to people such as professional pest controllers, you can’t have ‘any’ firearm you want, it has to match the type of licence you have. The average idiot in the suburbs can’t own a semi-auto firearm, or any firearm, without a valid reason, for obvious reasons! Self defence is not a valid reason in Australia, we don’t live in fear. Yes we do have firearms in Australia, but linked to sensible rules and laws (unlike Merica, the land of mass shootings). Cheers,
I think Jim Jefferies is the funniest comedian since George Carlin. Check out his bit on airplane etiquette, or his bit on the LGBTQ community.😂
US gun laws are the best in the world tbh
