Major plot hole: he was originally supposed to be stabbed with all of the knives in the form of a cross. One knife was not enough.

The way he is killed is a complete contradiction to the purpose of how the knives are required to be used. Such a let down with the way this movie ended.

To those wondering: the first dagger destroys the Anstichrist's physical body. But to destroy him completely requires all seven, in the pattern of a cross, on holy ground. That is why Damien says "Nazarene, you have won

This does follow the Biblical prophecy. Christ will return, not as a baby and the Lamb of God, born to be sacrificed, but as the King of Kings, Lord of Hosts in his full supernatural powers. Woe to the evil ones. When that day comes, you will be judged.

I love the original Omen movies. The one thing that bothers me is the timeline. Clearly born, in the first movie, depicted as the mid 70s. Then the 2nd is obviously is the turn of the decade and he's an older teenager. Then the final conflict against depicted as the early 80s and he's 33. I know it's nitpicking but there must have been a better way round this. As I said nitpicking.. Sam Neil was brilliant as the adult anti christ .

I miss Jerry Goldsmith so much. His scores in the 1980s and 90s were just amazing and magical and elevated films to the next level.

To bad that actor Sam Neil could not be nominated for his excellent performance in this movie. His performance as Damien Thorn is Oscar worthy. Evert time i see him in a movie i still can't get his performance as Damien Thorn out of my mind.

After the Hammer Dracula franchise and The Exorcist, this franchise of The Omen was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. While I enjoyed all three parts, the first one with Greg Peck and Lee Remick still resonates. This film set a grim tone and the actors delivered committed performances, embodying the characters internal struggle with a gravitas that hints two ways: One of a parent's love for the child and, two, get rid of the boy under any circumstances. These are the addictions and guilt both parents suffer from. A true masterpiece in every sense of the word.

The best thing about this whole movie: the music. Jerry Goldsmith did a great job. There are shades of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" here, especially in the super nova scene. The choral music is pretty good, especially for film score.
