Omar Ba on Creating "Not Fiction but Glory"

Ойын-сауық

"Not Fiction but Glory" is Omar Ba's largest work to date. Ba, one of today’s leading contemporary African artists, assembled this mural out of 358 cardboard moving boxes as part of his U.S museum exhibition, Omar Ba: Political Animals.
Here, Ba reflects on the history and symbolism presented in this monumental work that merges the experiences of Black America and Senegal.
Omar Ba: Political Animals is on view at the Baltimore Museum of Art through April 2, 2023.
