If he can have a Shawn Bradley type career, that's a win. Shawn was a solid player that got drafted too high. He doesn't have the mobility and coordination that Wemby has, so his value will be as a space occupier, rebounder, and shot blocker.

A real nice kid, but not mentally crazy about playing basketball, and that could hinder him.....the big men out there are fast and strong, even young Wemby that is thin is real strong...he needs to work hard at getting in shape and especially is wind running up and down the floor....that's why, if he mentally isn't hooked on basketball it will be twice as hard for him....and also confidence in himself has got to set in so he can fight and accumulate agility and quickness....which is very hard at that heigth....wishing him all the best of luck...

He needs to extend his arms up high! He needs shoulder drill. He needs distant hook shots. He needs turn around jumpers. He needs lateral movements or sideward movements. He needs to bump a lot. He needs a lot of training in the gym or else that height will be nothing. All you coaches are just full of mouth! I hate it!

There will always be key moments in crunch time where you might want a guy like that in the paint on defense, or to line up to rebound a missed FT. He can sit at the end of the bench the rest of the game and still be useful to the team.

Give him time, he just turned 18 this month on the 2nd. I mean, Shawn Bradley wasn't that athletic either and he did pretty good in the league. With modern training and nutrition, he'll be alright.
