In her original sims 2 house, she literally has a torture room. Its a small square room with nothing in it but a light and that’s probably why most of the victims died from starvation. She abducted innocent people she hired for service and locked them in her torture chamber until they starved just so Grimm can visit her when they collect the souls! She was obsessed which is also probably why Nervous was taken away because her obsession was greater than her son basic needs. Not my theory, I just watch a lot of Plumbella and other sims lore videos 💚 love your editing btw!!

That is actually a very interesting (and horrifying) theory! I kind of hope it isn't the case because I want her to not be 100% evil but it wouldn't surprise me at this point

Since we don't know why Nervous was taken from Olive, I always imagined that with so many people dropping like flies around her, the cops opened an investigation on her. Someone tipped off Social Services (maybe Lyla, trying to either protect a child or just being a busybody, which would tie in her feud with the Grunt family) about said investigation, so they took Nervous away despite any objections Olive could have made. That's a fairly plausible answer that doesn't involving her neglecting or harming Nervous. EDIT: Oh, and I'm surprised you gave her gemology skills but no medium skills from the paranormal stuff pack? Considering her interests, it'd suit her so well!

I really like that theory! And yes I did kind of consider that for the medium skill but I figured she doesn't actually care about talking to the souls of people she off'ed, as she just saw them as a means to an end yknow? I think she was literally just doing it so grim would appear without any interest in the ghosts of her victims

Since the Sims 2, Olive Specter did caught my attention a lot. And when I was a kid, I was even surprised knowing the fact that Olive was flirting with the Grim Reaper. Plus, her house was very creepy to look at it especially the graves outside her home. Strangetown lore really wants me to dig deeper of its lore 🧐

Hugh Thenasia is also a play on the word Euthanasia

olive had nervous subject, and then because she was so obsessed with see grim again that she accidentally neglected him in the process causing him to get taken away and grim becoming ferious. grim now refuses to show up if olive is nears deceased sim until she finds a way to fix things with their son . Olive then starts using ‘unconventional’ methods to get grim to come ie the jewellery

Love the editing in this video, you keep outdoing yourself! Ophelia is one of my favourite Sims 2 sims, I like that you moved her out for her save file and I cannot wait to see how you'll bring the Strangetown sims into The Sims 4 🥰 have a great week!

In the Sims 3, the reason her bio is like that, is because she comes with a Sims store world, where everyone has the same bio. Every other female sim in that world has the same bio as her. Also, Knut is an actual name where I come from and I always pronounce it as it’s spelled, so every time I see someone on youtube pronounce it ”nott” I’m like ”Ah! That’s how it’s supposed to be pronounced in english?”

Thanks for that insight, I had no idea about that! (I didn't have all the DLC on TS3) but I guess that makes sense, odd how they gave everyone the same bio. I say "nut" because K is silent in english so I'm probably saying it wrong!!

She's one of my favorite characters from the Sims franchise. Been wanting to recreate her storyline in the sims 4, but I didn't have strangerville until recently (got it on the last sale) and the crystal creations pack is just the perfect excuse to do so. Loved what you did with her in cas and the changes to the house. Thank you for such a detailed video, looking forward to more of this mini series

I actually loved playing her in the Sims 2 as Ophelia was my favourite! Would love if you could make her, but she was very close to being an adult in the Sims 2 so would definitely be an adult living away from Olive in the Sims 4!

Never typed it before but ive always though "Luc Smith" sounded like "Lock Smith", and i assumed maybe some kid who tried to rob her or did an odd job as a locksmith to help her?? Thats my theory anyways

Olive is one of my favouritess ❤ i thinn the reason things in sims lore arent always super clear is so that the gameplay is open ended and many more theories can happen I like her as a character to play and her lore but not what she does 😅

Maybe but I think Grim is quite a fair sim, as far as his job goes he just what needs doing if it's a sim's time to go. I don't think he would possess a sim

Ophelia monitoring the air quality... maybe she is worried she will die in a fire! I played TS2 so Olive and Ophelia are familiar to me, it's a shame you never got to play the game because it's an absolute masterpiece - it far outshines any other game in the franchise for gameplay, but that could be nostalgia talking 😅 In playing the game, Ophelia and Olive aren't very close and it really seems like Ophelia tries to stay out of Olive's way most of the time. The way the house is laid out really suggests this. I'm not sure if Olive has a soft spot for Ophelia because Nervous was taken - maybe Ophelia "fills the void" in some ways, but her leaving all inhertitance to Nervous, I do believe she loved him. I'd love to see you bring Ophelia back.

I love how we all thought the same thing when we saw that we can summon Grimm with gems. 😂 But I agree Olive is a terrible sim and I have no love her. Just enjoy her story for dramatic purposes.
