Old Swedish MORA knife restoration. I found this old rusty scout knife and decided to restore it. I like MORA Swedish knives. I removed the rust, polished the blade and restored the handle of the knife. I liked the result. I hope you liked my restoration.

На лаковом покрытии много кратеров/каверн. Лак можно было бы зашкурить нулёвкой и нанести следующий слой. И так повторить несколько раз.

Brought it back nicely!! Personally, I woulda done a different finish on the handle tho...this one is too slick & shiny for my tastes and I'd be slipping & dropping it all over. Great stuff dude!💪😎👍

Incredible blade restoration - sadly you treated the handle with varnish instead of boiled linseed oil, but that may be just personal preference. Take it out, it will serve you well.
Used to have one exactly like this, got it some 40 years ago in the village of Vemdalen (see the writing on the sheath) in Sweden as a souvenir.

Nice job my only small recommendation would’ve been to do more to the sheath I’ve seen leather tools where the people carve out a thin line around the edge or border of the sheath and for something kind of beat up like that you probably should’ve done something like that

@@ReXtorerI got mine with this specific sheath design about 40 years ago so early to mid 1980s. It's a traditional style is a though.
Hello. How is it possible that at the beginning of the video you were grinding a piece of iron to remove the handle and at the end of the video you have enough material to knock and secure the handle? Thank you for your answer

1. I sanded the handle. 2. I riveted the end a bit to make it longer (I didn't show it in the video).

Leather sheath could also be dyed black. But it's really great!

White goo is a product for leather. It softens old leather.

Why? Frost was a cheap knock off of the Mora design that didn’t use Mora steel. Would never take a good edge or hold it for long. Slick shinny handle finish is okay for a wall hanger but not a working knife. A “real” Mora wood handle is less than $30 so doesn’t seem to make sense.

De acuerdo en lo referente a la empuñadura.Respecto a la hoja: Acero Sueco,Mora brand...no dudo que los habrá mas caros,pero parece una hoja honesta que cumplirá su trabajo.Los pobres también tenos derecho a un cuchillo.😊
