Делать из напильника нож,это такая лажа,метал хрупкий не прочный,в любой момент при боковом ударе может разломиться,даже если будет закалка.

Oil or water ok, notice how long and how little he quenched it he didn't hold it under until it was cold, he slowly quenched, keeping an eye on the blade not to warp.

some blacksmiths have may tools or modern machines to make knives while this blacksmiths uses only a few tools and he is able to make useful knives

And he did very big mistake. Because this kind of material is absolutely not good for knife. Wasted eforts, and nonsense.
