@@somegirl675 I've never actually played Arena or Daggerfall. My entry into the series was Morrowind. And I may not have ever played Morrowind either (because I hadn't heard of it), except it came as a "free game" with a video card I bought.

Damn....Morrowind was the defining moment of my childhood. I would miss days on days to stay home for hours, glued to this game, exploring caves, Daedric ruins, SOLSTIEM!, Thrisk hall!, and evening becoming a werewolf for the first time...God the memories and possibilities were endless. Skyrim could never....I have so much respect for this game. Thank you Morrowind for making my dreams of a perfect rpg a reality.

Different approaches to the main theme are supposed to fit different lands and cultures. Dunmer culture is not as "bombastic" as Nord culture, the very land of Vvardenfell is nothing like skandinavian-like Skyrim. And main themes show those differences.

If you don't know, then you clearly are clinging on to something you missed. I can't say that I can repeat most of the melodies from memory, but without a doubt I can recall on mark when all of the songs played. You may levitate around the subject, but it seems my mind has been burdened (perhaps by a greater bonewalker) with these songs. From Hortator to Nerevarine, from the reincarnation of the Devil, Dagoth Ur's, companion at Red Mountain to the vanquisher of the sixth house, we remember. And if you're just now getting into Morrowind, lemme just say that the non leveled system of the game is amazing. Get into some business you can't handle you'll get whooped, but if you can survive; then to the victor go the spoils. PS: Save often, the world of Vvardenfel c an be a dangerous place ; ] Oh and mark at your quest givvers. Fatigue affects your spell casting abilities so watch that (easier on PC than consoles)

Morrowind came out on May 1st, 2002. My dad, being a massive gamer, who owned the original XBOX, got it. I was born on October 19th, 2002. A lot of my earliest memories were my dad in daedric armor, exploring the vast, and rich lands of Vvardenfell. I would watch him for hours at a time, watching him explore and kill the occasional deadly Vvardenfell creature, or anyone that stood in his way. This beautiful game was truly one of my first experiences of gaming (only being beaten by Halo). Years later, on Christmas, my brother and I got the next generation, the XBOX 360. We were stoked, obviously. But a few years later, my dad made a decision that would change my life. On the Christmas of 2011, he got me Skyrim. My first experience playing this beautiful series for myself, and I was ecstatic. I explored everything my little 9 year old hands could find. I was a true Dragonborn, I stayed dragons left and right, until reaching my final goal of Alduin. It wasn't until years later that I finally played Morrowind. It was just as amazing as I remembered it. In a way, it was like I had finally come home. I joined a house, I built my own stronghold, I left my name in the history of Solstheim, I conquered the hunt of Hircine, I finished the corrupt Tribunal, and killed the devil of Red Mountain. But above all else, I soaked in the beauty of Vvardenfell. I experienced the thrills and the joys of this alien, yet so familiar world. I became the Hortator, I grasped my destiny as Nerevarine. And it was so glorious. It felt just as glorious and amazing as it felt a decade before. I can't even play Skyrim or Oblivion again without thinking of the beauty and amazement in the wonderfully crafted world of Morrowind. It was almost like I was spoiled by Morrowind. This arrangement made me tear up, hearing Nerevar Rising played after the buildup of the rest of the piece made the emotions that were previously welled break free. This is 4 years old but thank you for this arrangement. Morrowind truly is a masterpiece.

Morrowind is what got me back into video games after my Dad passed away. I hadn’t played in four years and I needed something to do in the barracks while in school and my friend showed me the game. I fell in love with the lore, mystery and exploration. Fast forward to the first time I was in Solthiem in the Dragonborn dlc and neverar rising started playing out of nowhere. The nostalgia took my breath away. So beautiful.

I think nostalgia has nothing to do with this, I've never played Morrowind and I can already tell the story this song wants to sing

Enchanting thrilling and emotive, the game was simply a one of a kind masterpiece and the soundtrack made it all the more captivating.

Yeah it is underway as we speak. I liked morrowind better than oblivion and skyrim. It had way better music.

Why does it even need remastering? You may want to use OpenMW, and even that is not mandatory. This game is just great as it is, without graphics mods whatsoever.

Gregor I'd pay for a fully-voiced version if they hire a few Dunmer voice actors

I remember playing this game for the very first time, about 20 years ago. I thought to myself, "This is going to be cool. This is going to be very, very cool." Understatement of the decade.
