True, but it's a double entendre...it's about the rock n roll scene but also coming from a farming town to L.A. for the first time to persue his dreams and being dropped off in the inner city of L.A....the line "YOU know where you are?!, You're in the jungle baby, You're gonna DIE!", came from an older African American man that came up to him right when he got off the bus in L.A. who was kinda bugging them, then told them THAT!!😂💋

The singer axl rose was from a small Midwest town and moved out to LA to chase his dreams and apparently the back story for this song is he had just got off the bus in LA and some homeless lookin dude noticed he was clearly from out of town and said to him "welcome to the jungle baby, your gonna die". The first conversation he had in LA became one of their greatest songs. I sometimes wonder if they'd have ever made it big if some homeless guy didn't scare the piss out of him! Life is is strange boyos.

Fun story: I used to jam to this album in my bedroom as a teenager. So one day, I was outside when my 5 yr/old baby bro & my dad came out of the house. I heard my brother ask my dad, "so where we goin dad?" My dad says, "I dunno, where you wanna go?" My brother comes back with, "How 'bout Paradise City!" My dad says, "What?" "You know, where the grass is green & the girls are pretty!" It was too funny. He was so serious too, like he really thought it was a real place. Anyway yeah...definitely check that one out too.

So GNR is one of those bands that defined the best hair band rock of 1987-94. During that time they had several absolute masterpieces including this track which was their first big hit, but also Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City, Patience, Civil War, November Rain, Mr. Brownstone, Yesterday, and You Could Be Mine. I suspect you are planning on reacting to music for years to come. At some point you should get to each of these because they are all incredible and I think several of them will give you chills. He even has a weed hanging out of his mouth lol.. but by the end of the video he stands at the window of the store watching all the craziness, shaking his head. It's as if he is saying, "Yeah. Every once in a while I binge watch your channel. This is the first time I've seen your reactions to Guns and Roses. The first time I was introduced to GNR I was in 7th grade. It was the first day of science class in junior high in 1988. I was used to listening to hip hop, NWA, Hall and Oates, Led Zeppelin, and quite a diverse array of music. GNR was the first band that I heard with this type of sound. I was sitting at my desk and in walks this skinny ass girl with bright naturally red/orange hair all big ass and teased up, leather jacket, black eyeliner everywhere, pail as shit, tight jeans with chains all hanging. She had a Walkman of all things and I could hear the music. She sits down and said, "Hey, what's happening?" I asked her what music that was and the look on her face when she realized I didn't know this monster of a rocking band was something I remember vividly today. She took her headphones off and said here and shoved them at me and said listen to this. Welcome to the Jungle blasted my head apart and I was in love. Then she told me Guns and Roses. Axel Rose was the shit. I don't remember her name, but I'll never forget her.
