Yup...absolutely it is. Arguably, one of the best "initial," first LP releases in music history. It helped GnR blow the walls down at a particular time when music was a bit bland, and needed a good kick in the ass to get things going again. Not particularly complicated music, but some good ol Rock n Roll, and just what the doctor ordered at the time. One of those bands that let "ego" (and of course, a bit of substance abuse), tear em down, and left us music fans to wonder "what if?" Even if there'd not been another song done after AFD, I believe it would have been more than enough to vault these dudes to legendary status.

@Zayden Jose none of my business, but it sounds like it's time for a trade-in and get a newer model. And now that the "how" of it is on a public forum linked to you, she's gonna change things with the quickest. Either way, covert operations have now started, and the death knell on the relationship has already sounded. Ex-fil ahead of a "scorched earth" policy. Burn everything down so she can't use it. Better luck with the next one....

@@drew65sep agreed. I remember rock at the time was getting stagnant and then this album hits and this song drops on the radio and MTv (back when MTv was about music). It had the snarl and and in your face that rock had seemed to be losing at the time.

@@SgtSplatter782 absolutely bro...I graduated high-school in '83, and on to some college that I never finished before getting lucky and landing the good job that I eventually would retire from. Lol, most of the 80's are still a blur...but, I can get my time frame halfway correct by the music that came out, and what vehicle I had. Pretty bad, but it's called the "80's of excess" for a reason. There was some really kick-ass music that came to be back then...

Ah, the first Guns `n Roses song I ever heard. I was 12-13, I wanted the album so bad, but didn't have any money. But my younger sisters birthday was coming up so I persuaded her that she had to buy it (and of course let me listen to it as much as I wanted) for the money she got for her birthday. This was before the cover was banned so a 9 year old girl bought a Appetite for destruction LP with a rape-killing machine on the cover (yes this was when the album first came out, and yes our mother was present and had no objections, she was always pretty cool about things like that...). 😂

Welcome to the BEST GLAM METAL EVER. Do you ever wonder why people still talk about 80’s music? Wonder no more 😁! It was the decade of everything EXCESS, sex, drugs, and Rock n Roll! Oh man!!!!! To go back for a day........need I say more? I’d be there in a minute. From the people of my age, the 80’s were filled with some of the greatest music EVER!!! Glad to see even the younger generations can see the absolute excellence of the 80’s. It was a decade, and I’ve been through a few, of some of the best music that ever was, is, or ever will be. That’s why we are still here listening to it. You guys are cute! Glad you can enjoy some of the most fun music in history. You also might want to back even a little further, to when Rock truly started, 60’s and 70’s. It truly was GREAT!! Zeppelin, The Stones, The Who, etc., etc., to the 70’s, Pink Floyd (really started in the extreme late 60’s), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, and a million more!!! Join the club, Rock was, is, and will always be the place to visit when I’m .......feeling a bit down!! But don’t forget the New Wave era of the 80’s, Duran Duran, The B52’s, Roxette, Depeche Mode, The Police, The Cars, Squeeze, The Clash, Depeche Mode, etc., etc., and even mainstream artists, MICHAEL JACKSON, to many thousands to name, but you get the point. All around, such great music from such a pivotal time in music history Enjoy the ride 🤘🤘🤘

Love y'alls reaction videos. Please react to guns N roses song "Paradise City". I think you will enjoy it even more. Guns N Roses knows how to treat their audience. I look forward to seeing what y'all think about it. I'm a 60 year old white boy and you two are my favorite reaction stars. (Yeah, I'm an old fogey, But I still love to rock out.

That came out in 87. I was a freshman in high school then. Started the end of the so-called hair metal.Alot ofgood music from that time and era. Bands like dokken, ratt, Cinderella, motley crue, def lepard and mant others were very popular back in the day.guns n roses had way better songs than that on that album which was their first.
