Try the foster adopt program then you will get your bundle of joy, someone that needs love from you. Dont give up, my friend adopted a child 20 years ago and he s smart and in college. Yes she was older when they adopted but already had all the things they needed like a house and dogs. Truly he s a smart young man.

The state will pay for everything to help you with the adoption process, down to a clothing and food allowance. The adoption agencies are a scam, they're in it for the money, kids should not be sold. Most likely a major depressive episode. This isn’t an excuse, she still neglected her kid by not asking for help and will hopefully be charged for this. But she likely didn’t get out of bed much and had food delivered. You don’t have to eat a lot to gain weight if you’re burning a negligible amount of calories. It doesn’t work the same way in a kid who will be more affected by malnutrition. This situation is similar to someone with SI who leaves behind a dependent. I perform autopsies and have received more than one body on multiple occasions because of this.

Young mothers who are immature or have a degree of a learning disability get overwhelmed by responsibility. Looks like this has been going on for a long time. I love when they all start boo-hoo and crying when they know that they’re in trouble. She wouldn’t cry if she didn’t think she was in trouble so she knows that she’s wrong for not feeding that child. Maybe she’s got a drug problem who knows. But what family members? Doesn’t anybody check to see how the baby is? Is there a grandmother grandfather, aunt uncle cousin? I really don’t understand this world anymore. It’s disgusting. But I agree with your comment. I’m sorry to be dragging on.

Starving the girl was undoubtedly the least of what the baby went through.

Part of me is annoyed she didn't even ask if her child was okay but at the same time at least she's not faking that she cares 🙄

The child's father also needs to be questioned regarding his daughter health, ignorance is not a defence

@@MelissaJackson83 To be fair to the cop, he's playing it on the safe side and following procedures. It's a serious case where they want to make sure they've done everything right, to a T, so it doesn't hurt the case. At that point, they didn't even know if the baby would survive! And it's a hugely serious case either way. This isn't a traffic violation, and if she genuinely has some back problem that he ignored, and the cuffs made worse, the police department might get into some trouble. She's also not high risk to have the cuffs in front - she's too big to slip or escape the cuffs, and not resisting.

I have gone hungry many nights simply so my child doesn’t go hungry. I just can’t imagine eating while my child is starving. Absolutely evil

I had to run from a DV marriage. I have two sons, I obviously took them, and a bag. That’s it. I had NOTHING, but I always fed my children. I lost so much weight. I went from a European size 12, to a size 6. I’m sure it was mostly stress, but I didn’t eat for days. It is what you do! It shouldn’t even be questioned. Feeding your child is instinctual.

Same here. If my kid wants more food and there's a limited amount of something, I just let her take it right off my plate, no questions asked. I did it even before I got gastric bypass surgery that shrank my stomach to just 3 oz. She's always welcome to my food or drinks unless it has excess caffeine or alcohol in it. She's such a blessing that I can't imagine depriving her of most things that she wants (within reason, of course) let alone the things that she needs. I love her so much. I always have to go hug her when I hear about cases like this. Before I put her to bed, she was laying cuddled up next to me asleep sucking her thumb

This women didn't ask about her childs status for so long. .she called 911 about her child being unresponsive and then left her daughter alone in that apartment. Then didn't ask if she was alive for a long time after interacting with the cops. This women is sick. So happy that baby was still alive and i hope she gets the childhood she deserves

She didn’t seem to understand what was happening and then got emotional. I literally thought she may be mentally deficient or in some kind of drug stupor. Judging by the youngster’s condition, this has been going in for awhile. Basically, torture. I am torn between sadness and rage.

@@baomao7243 I agree. I’m leaning more toward mental intellect. Having worked in the social services field for over 15 years, I don’t think she’s capable of taking care of herself or a baby. She hasn’t given proper care because she not capable of doing so. It’s been an ongoing situation probably her entire adult life. Doesn’t excuse the behavior and doesn’t explain it. Unfortunately it’s a situation that is far more common than you think. Not all cases are public. I don’t have the answers. Only tears for all the little ones that get left behind. .

Having mental illness or learning difficulties (and I’ve got both) gives you one of the best hearts. Not saying people are perfect, no one is. This woman is pure evil. She was ok enough to phone the police then where was she while they went in there to find a toddler little girl seriously unwell. It’s because of that people that say peope who have mental illness or learning difficulties will be serious harm to our kids why we get taken of them. Instead abusers like this freak are allowed to keep there kids.

You are about to be sleeping every night on less than one inch of "mattress' that's on top of concrete or steel and that mattress has had every sisters blubber and Bubba butt cheeks and nuts all over it! They smell awful and she better hope their facilities free of bedbugs and chit because it's about to get a whole lot less comfortable! I would guess severe, untreated depression is the reason behind this. She probably self-medicates with food. She needed help long before this point. Such a shame that poor child had to suffer because of her mother’s failure to seek help.

Thank goodness they rescued her.

But i dont see any judge seeing this footage in court and being like, well its the first time you starved your daughter to almost death, left her bed soiled, and allowed multiple bug bites to continue without doing anything about it, i dont see a judge seeing all this and giving her a slap on the wrist. Then again, we can't even get the unredacted list of people who went to Jeff Epstiens island, so nothings surprising anymore.

This is unbelievably sad!

Why is she asking how her daughter is? She didnt become 16 lbs @ 3-years-old overnight. She had to see her that way every day. The cuffs hurt and she wants some compassion. Go figure.

I weighed 10lbs 6 oz when I was born. 3 years old and only 16lbs! Words can't even describe how cruel that is. This woman deserves life without parole.

My 3 year old is 34lbs and I feel like she’s skin and bones 😥

I am broke since getting out military. I struggle with PTSD, depression and anxiety. My kids have never gone hungry, dirty or unloved. Being a parent you owe them to be clean, healthy and happy at a MINIMUM. Prayers for the little girl, may that "mother" rot.

I'm sorry for whatever happened to you, but you can't lump all divorced and single mothers into one category just because someone screwed you over. That's extremely unfair and very unhealthy.
