I’m pretty sure the little boy that got to go get help from a nearby neighbor is Russell. Ummmm no. She exercised her right. No one should talk to police without an attorney. Let the evidence speak. In this case it spoke volumes so there was no need for her to talk. It seems ppl get too caught up in emotions and watching many interrogations of ppl who don’t exercise their right to remain silent, that it’s thought talking is mandatory. It’s not. Tbh, those detectives could’ve messed up everything by constantly talking after she said she wanted an attorney. Then y’all would be pointing fingers at them. While this is a HORRIBLE situation and they deserve the max sentence, interrogations are not solely for one’s entertainment or to satisfy whatever feelings you have. We still have rights and protocols. It’s a slippery slope when we discount those things based on emotion.

Forcible cutting of hair is a humiliation strategy that is often employed as part brainwashing. It works best on people from cultures where hair has great significance or symbolic meaning. For example, the Indigenous children who were stolen away to live in residential "schools," whose hair was forcibly cut, because for their tribes a❤hair had religious and spiritual connections. Cutting the children's hair was quite literally chopping away part of their identities. Another tactic was giving them "Christian" names and forbidding them from speaking their native languages. It's calculated destruction of the self, to be replaced by extremist indoctrination, piece by piece. Although most Americans don't attach such strong spiritual importance to their hair, it's still part of our culture to closely connect one's hair to one's appearance and identity (particularly for girls and women). Forcible cutting of hair is considered a form of abuse in the present day by experts in childhood development, and shaving that poor little girl's head was absolutely part of the abuse.

I couldn’t agree MORE! I worry about the foster home/homes they’re in as well. DCF REALLY needs to be on top of these kids! They let to many children slip through the cracks! They drop the ball and abused children go from the hot pan to the frying pan. DCF goes in, walks around, checks that there’s food in the refrigerator, a bed to sleep in and the kid/kids look ok then they leave. THAT’S IT! What if the family knows their coming and sets the whole place up to look “ normal”? I know it sounds horrible but this is what happens. Then they leave. They NEED TO DO MORE!!!! It’s scary enough for a child to be in a house full of people they don’t know but for the family to treat them with anything other than love is unthinkable and unimaginable!

She is not, nor ever has been insane. She’s just trying to look that way to wiggle out of her guilt. She was always going to blame Jodi for manipulating her, rather than admit she CHOSE to hurt her own kids. She was abusing those children before she met Jodi,it just escalated once she found someone else as twisted as her. Insanity is not an excuse, it’s a real thing for sure, but Ruby is just trying to use it as a get out. They’re both just pure sadists. 🤬
