The most annoying thing about the Deadrocks (the guys that turn to stone when you hit them) is that in every game they appear in past this one, you can kill them with the hammer. It's just this game where you kind of have to deal with them being in your way constantly.

Basically, they are. And the “Magic Sword” from the first Zelda is pretty much the Master Sword.

Specifically it requires the 5th and 6th crystal. So after obtaining hookshot and fire rod you can clear these two and get big bomb
