This is a tool assisted speedrun (TAS) of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D that aims to be the game as fast as possible while also completed all 8 of the main dungeons. There are no other restrictions. Completing a dungeon requires entering the blue warp at the end of the dungeon and obtaining the Spiritual Stone or Medallion. Based on the community definition, however, these Spiritual Stones and Medallions do not need to remain in the inventory after obtaining them. Therefore, the game does not need to be completed with all of the Spiritual Stones and Medallions, each must just be obtained once from their intended source. Unlike a real-time attack (RTA) speedrun where a player sits down to complete a game in one sitting, this run utilizes an emulator with specialized tools to such as savestates and frame by frame pausing to complete what is essentially a perfect speedrun, or at least as close as someone can theoretically get. As such, this speedrun in its final form took somewhere between 2 or 3 months to create.

I didnt get to finish watching this on ZFGs channel as it was to late in the day when it premiered for me to finish it, and it wasnt there anymore. Thank goodness youtube randomly recommended this upload of it as I had no clue where to look to watch it.

Quick question! Are the dungeons you completed before accessing the Title Screen Save still beaten on the Title Screen Save? If not, were the dungeons beaten on two separate files? It looks like the title save overwrote the original save. Does that technically mean there wasn't a moment in this TAS where all of the dungeons were in their beaten state? I'm not trying to troll here, just genuinely interested in how OOT3D's community determines their ruleset. Extremely impressive TAS, Ben! Loved watching it!

Great question! Those dungeons do revert back to an uncompleted state after doing the BiT wrong warp. The community decided that the definition for All Dungeons would be more loose to allow cool glitches like that, while MST (Medallions/Stones/Trials) would maintain a more conservative legacy ruleset

Is it possible to do Ocarina no Major Cutscenes? I don't think you can skip like the opening cutscene or something like that unless some Techno Wizardry occurs, but yeah. It's kinda like a version of No Doors' objective. Speedrunners hate long cutscenes.

Intro skip has been a thing in OoT for quite a while now and categories like All Dungeons or MST skip almost all of the long cutscenes, so I don't really know what you mean. MST pretty much only has Master Sword and Light Arrow cutscene

I laughed way too much with the stick in the cutscene
I wasn't sure if legit cause I've not heard of Ben, but when I heard ZFG I was swayed 😅 Will edit when I finish watching
