It feels a little ironic that this run now comes down to actually trying to find some arrows.

I just love the fact that each time you randomize this game it's always about arrows, whether being trolled by several bundles of 10, needing to find a bow in order to shoot them and now just needing to find the upgrade for them. It ALWAYS comes down to arrows.

Since the clues are there to point you to items you need to beat those locations and since you NEED the staff to have the platforms to ride on is should be pretty fucking clear what unique item it is refering to.

Jerd, try sneaking into Turtle Rock from one of the outside ledges on Death Mountain. You normally can't, but you can here because of the reverse Mirror. Also, you can visit Misery Mire now that you have Ether.

Yeah he could've checked that spot a long time ago. My guess is, as I mentioned in another episode, is that its in the room with 4 chests outside of one of those caves that is right before the last level of the dungeon(the lower jump one IIRC).

I'm guessing he'll have to drop down to a ledge in the light world and then warp back to the outdoor walkway in the dark world and traverse the dungeon backwards. Neat!

If i am remembering right. Its a reference to a speedrunner named andy that skipped that check. He was on a very fast pace but needed the Ether medalion to enter a dungeon (Can't remember which) and spent a loooooong time trying to find it when it was in that cave the entire time.

Yes! The first time I played inverted it was an ah-ha! moment when I realized that you can use the mirror on the other ledges to get into the later sections of Turtle Rock and actually complete the dungeon backwards.

With all the Vitreous bosses that has been in this randomizer, I think it is a sign that the Silver Arrows are in Misery Mire

Flute would give you access to Mire, which gives you another five checks (2 in shed, 2 in Mire and 1 in Checkboard Cave)

So the guy in the forest hideout at 12:01 is making a joke at Andy's expense - a long time ago, in the early days of Rando racing, Andy lost a tournament or something because he never got the Ether Medallion from this specific spot. The duder's text is one of those permanent reminders of that event. The guaranteed hints are for the Green Medallion (from Sahasralah), the two "Red" crystals (from the Bomb Shop dude), the location of the Silver Arrows (from Ganon 4 if you don't have them yet), and the contents of the two tablets and the Pedestal (requiring the Book of Mudora). Note that if you have the Master Sword or better already, you cannot *check* the tablets, you just get the item instead.

Yes, he is missing pulling the frog tongue north of the flying tile room. Its a japan frog thing 🐸. There are a bunch of the frog tongue pulls in Skyward Sword too, mostly in the fire temple and in the water temple.

In inverted, you can drop to the one of the ledges on the east side of Death Mountain in Light World, and then use the mirror to warp to one of Turtle Rock's entrances from Dark Death Mountain.

Hey Jared, there are 3 more entrances to that dungeon, go to the light world and go to the left of the main entrance, there are some ledges jump to one and use the mirror

There's a back door to Turtle Rock when the game is inverted Jared, it's where you normally farm fairies in the light world.

You should check the cave where that other old sage guy is, you passed it leaving the desert. Also, the downstairs area East of the desert dungeon. Also, the rock cluster at 15:27, pretty sure there are treasure chests in there.

He's already checked both of those locations in a previous episode. The rock pile in the Light World is just a faerie; the cave is in the Dark World, which he's also already been through!

Looks like he will have to go to the light world, drop down to one of the caves then go to the dark world. Some of the caves on the ledges that are down from where turtle rock is are other entrances to that dungeon.

I will lose my shit if at the end of this randomizer instead of the Triforce there was only 10 arrows

The other shield upgrade was in the depths of Blain`s Dungeon. If you get it it does nothing.

After watching these videos I have also done the inverted run, and when it came to Turtle Rock, it locked me out of the big Key so I couldn't get the chest or unlock the door to continue with the rest of the dungeon. Also there was a few dungeons I couldn't finish due to the randomizer boss option & the hook shoot was the item I needed which turns out was in the dark world chest game.

You likely needed to enter TR through the mimic cave entrance or back door. Remember, mirror goes light to dark now.

The minic cave you can go from lightworld and the go to dark world and see if there is a key

I wanna be upset at Jared for not figuring out what he needs to do next, but this took me a little while to figure out too, as much as I hate to admit it. So I can't be mad. It's not really obvious even if you played the original game. You just have to sorta think about how different the mechanics are having the light and dark world reversed. For those that don't know, he needs to go to light world, jump down the right side of the mountain on the ledges and then mirror to the dark world so he's on the ledges lower in the dungeon. He should probably go down the middle that comes out right at the four chests and then work his way backward toward the beginning (as the room after that key hole has another key, and the room beyond that has a chest in it.)

No, there are only three shields in Link to the Past. The shield your uncle gives you, the second-level shield that's bought, and the Mirror Shield.

On my first inverted run it took me a while to put together what to do to get through Turtle Rock too.

Always wondered why did they go for pink hair for Link. I seem to remember they had some problems with palettes if the hair was brown or blonde, but how did the final hair color end up being pink.

does jared not know about mirroring into turtle rock from the light world? it is completely logical to do, and theres 2 [or i guess 3 technically] exits you can get to through that method.

You could just beat Ganon without the Silver Arrows. There's a few frames of time as he teleports where a sword spin will actually damage him (and not just stun him as usual). As long as you have enough magic to keep the torches up (and with a glitch you can make it so you just have to maintain one torch) it's not too tough, especially since you have the butter sword. Also Inverted Turtle Rock has backdoors you don't usually get in the normal game due to the inverted mirror.

No, it's a inverted randomizer, meaning he can warp back to the Dark World from the Light World, but not the other way around like usual. What needs to happen is that he has to fall down to the cave ledges nearby in the Light World, use the mirror, and enter Turtle Rock that way.

I started a randomizer last night. The fire rod, Ice rod, lantern and bug net were in Ganon's tower. If I didn't set it to only needing 2 crystals it would have been a failed run. Its also a randomized enemy run. So Misery Mire is completely locked because I can't kill spike blocks.

Had to look at the spoiler for Misery Mire to find out if I even needed to complete it because not being able to kill some enemies like the spike block, big spike block, rolling spike bar etc it permanently locked the whole dungeon for me.

@@Shirodragoon Well, if you got the blue cane or the cape they wouldn't be an issue. I remember I thought one of my runs was impossible because of a very inconveniently placed big spike block in Palace of Darkness. It was right on the 2 block long breakable pathway and I was set to 100% dungeon completion.

@@kyuubinaruto17 the spike blocks are the only enemies in the room so the key chest won't spawn. Unless it requires 100 wall masters to unlock the chest. I killed 10 before I gave up. I used the cape to get across the spike room, no enemies but 1 small spike block and wall master.

... and that's why I don't like apples.

The shield you keep remembering was the previous save that you restarted from.
