Time to finish the freezing cold palace, Earlf! 9:37 - 9:55 - I almost forgot about Squirrel Girl. Also: Hooray! Finally, the Blue Mail, which I feel should have been obtained in an earlier palace. 18:12 - 18:15 - It has that icy cold stare going on. 20:40 - 20:54 - Pffft... Oh, LOL

Khold Stare or as I called it the Eye Ice monster, to go along with Multipl-eye and Lime Jelly Eye or just Jam Eye. Weakness to fire or Bombos until the ice is gone, then sword it down... not hard to quick kill all it's final parts with a spin as it is entering it's last phase. Though making a boss require magic items is a bit rude, you'll be prepared the next time around if you came into this fight without the ability to crack the ice. Out of all of the boss monsters, only the most terrifying one comes back to life... yeah right, who'd be afraid of Mayor McCheesesnake?

When I played this on SNES I genuinely thought you needed the red cane to complete dungeon 5.

I don’t understand why everyone thinks this level is so hard. Just hit the switch, go back up a few floors, and jump back down the hole that leads to the big chest room and you’re there. It’s simple.

There are people who like zant? Genuine surprise cause I've never heard a single person say otherwise

I tend to do the 6th dungeon first using the RED cane makes reaching the ice palace boss SNES version only way easier.

Same here SNES version only the Game Boy Advanced Remake however makes using the Red Cane on the Switch impossible since the GBA version kind of changed the map layout of the last rooms of the ice palace making reaching the spot where you COULD use the Red Cane not possible on that version of the game.
