You’re exactly right. There was a home invasion by cops in Midland, Texas, a few years ago. A false, silent alarm had gone off at a home. Cops rolled up and never announced their presence. As anyone would, dude woke up assuming people were breaking into his home (turns out, he was right!) and to protect himself and his family, shot and killed one of the cops. The tyrannical DA charged the man, but thankfully, the jury had common sense and found him not guilty.

Law enforcement are not exempt from receiving 2nd amendment reaction when they violate the constitutional rights of citizens, especially while at a citizen’s house. Your residence is one of the most constitutionally protected places you can be.

Yeah, this was NOT a wellness check. They were NOT there to "check on him". They were there to arrest him for having the gun. Why else would they have shown up in full tactical gear? This is exactly what it looked like, an armed home invasion.

So, a third party call about a guy maybe, possibly wanting to someday commit self-harm prompted a "wellness check" that involved a SWAT team no-knock raiding the guy's house? I know they have a monopoly on violence and all but anyone with a brain has got to admit it's getting pretty wild when they want to be the ones to get the kill and literally say they were just helping out.

Happened to me when I lived in California. Siskyou County Sheriff was always bugging me, kept telling me they were conducting a “welfare check” and were concerned about my wellbeing. Yeah, sure they were. Blue Line gangbangers looking for an excuse is what they were. Glad I was finally able to get out of there.

The report said his mother called 911 when he wouldn't talk with her. It also said that a "negotiator" had called 50 times and he wouldn't answer his phone. Just because a group of guys announce "POLICE !!" doesn't mean they're actuality police. I have a friend that had four guys knock on his door at night and announce, "POLICE open the door", turns out they were not police. He didn't open the door and instead called the police. The four guys left, and it took the police over twenty minutes to get there and when they did, they stopped 100 yards from his house and sat there for some time just observing before they came to his house. Turns out this group of guys managed to get into another house that night somewhere nearby and robbed the place.

"...police were called by a family member to a home" So, they didn't have any proof of anything, just a voice on the phone. 🤷‍♂

They weren't there due to FOID violations. Not having a FOID while possessing a firearm in one's home would only be a misdemeanor at worst. Someone called stating this person was a threat to themselves and others. He was initially accused of threatening others with harm. The police don't appear prepared for a shoot out even though they are breaking down the door. Seems like a lot of incompetence or they didn't really think he was a serious threat.

Where is the footage from the rear of the house? Are you telling me only one point of entry?

Usually it's navy blue or black bdu and a vest for city police in my area, but michigan state police Usually wear slacks and a button down short sleeve shirt, with a vest underneath. All are packing pistols, Usually glock. No helmets. The small town cops are the ones with the biggest ego in my experience. They all have a AR rifle in their vehicles though, as far as I know.
