I think police unions should have a say in wages and benifits but absolutely nothing to do with discipline and if a cop gets paid leave during an investigation he should have to PAY BACK THE MONEY if found guilty !

The cops were looking for trouble when they got to the scene and did everything in their power to find it. A federal 1983 lawsuit needs to be filed.

Also. I know all about the lying. Here recently, I was arrested for "evading with a motor vehicle." Mind you, he (the lying scumbag officer) lied on his report. He claimed I "took off on him at a high rate of speed" (false and shown on dashcam), "turned at a too fast speed" (flase and shown on dashcam), and "turned off my lights to avoid him detecting me" (also false, I did turn off my vehicle as I pulled in my driveway, but I did so as per normal when I pull my motorcycle into my driveway. My lights turn off with the vehicle, and I was parked less than 3 feet from the street. How could I avoid detection from there?) He also claimed I was "drunk" when I was not and he conducted no field sobriety test nor breathalyzer or blood draw. He claimed I was "combative and non compliant" (false, the record shows that he was the only one yelling, I asked for a field sobriety test or breathalyzer, and questioned him as to why he was so combative. The only thing I did was call him a "pig" when I was already handcuffed and in the squad car on the way to the jail. I had not been marandized nor had i any clue as to why I was being arrested. All he told me was that I "ran a stop light.") So... yeah. I know completely how this works. The new justice system is, "Cops can do whatever they want. Point the finger at you and you're automatically guilty. You will bow to King George in the courtroom. And there is absolutely nothing you can do, nor will you, about it."

The cop won't care that all his BS charges and lies are thrown out of court. He knows he got to mess with you and drag you through the court system. It cost you the humiliation of being arrested and jailed plus all the time out of your life and loss of money while going through the "process." This was 1 of the MOST OBVIOUS demonstration of the "stop resisting" excuse for excessive force AND cop dishonesty & criminal behavior ive seen. He was not resisting AT ALL, & the dog was sent to attack after he was down w/ hands behind him, even IF he resisted before, & as stated, the cops came to them, yet claim they were the aggressors.

Rick I'm a 4'11" women. I have had german shepherds and boxers all my life. Never ever were any of my dogs out of control!! I hate spiked collars. They need to be outlawed! This is just despicable and I also feel bad for the dog. Scumbags

What seriously sucks about cops that use their k9 partner in this way is that the k9 officer will be the one who receives the punishment, not the human cop. The cop will blame the k9 for what he is commanded or allowed to do against the perp. Cops misuse the k9 officers due to their bruised feelings their hurt pride, and perceived tarnished public relations. Any person who is educated in dog basic, guardian/security, agility, search/rescue, tracking, service/medical aid, and both military and police k9 training knows that the dog is only as useful and successful as their human handler. If that handler is inept or uses the dogs training in a negative manner than that dog will fail. That failure shouldn't be put on the dog that is trained to obey and has given their loyalty along with their trust to their handlers/owners/partners/families. The follow their "pack leader" and will almost always follow what they are commanded to do. There is that small percentage of times that they might turn on their handler but when that happens there is a simple reason that they have done so. When that happens there needs to be a detailed investigation into why it did, why it happened at that moment, and if the dog should be separated from the handler it turned against. No matter the breed of dog they were not meant to be born aggressive or dangerous. They become or are made that way due to the humans who were and are in charge their lives. Those humans that are responsible for them. They didn't choose to be a part of our lives we sought out and chose to add them to our lives. Cops need to have additional testing both mental and physical medical testing before they are given the privilege of becoming a part of the k9 departments. They should also have mandatory testing they have to take during the time they are apart of the departments. The k9 officer also should be tested and refresh their training while they are still able to procreate in the departments. Those needed steps should be placed in a 3 month set roster for the public safety, and the k9s safety and health. also for the cops safety and health but to keep them in compliance for their actions and the actions they commanded or allow their k9 to do.

"Stop resisting!" The cops automatically say that when they want to administer a beating to a victim.

Cops say stop resisting when they are abusing someone. Criminals say I can't breathe when they are resisting arrest. The only difference between the two is, one wears a uniform.
