Yep... this hits me hard in the feels when I hear the original song, but to see and hear this version makes me break down. What has the world come to and how great it is warts and all... why can't humans realise that we are humans and just get on? Fucking heatbreaking

I love that you replayed that resounding crescendo after Kirstie's solo. For me, it's a musical reminder that it's our differences that make us strong. When all those different voices come together in beautiful, powerful harmonies, that's the message of the song right there. We can't create something like that if we're all the same.

Man, this one gets me every time. John Lennon would be VERY proud of this.

Agreed. It’s been reported Leonard Cohen preferred the PTX cover of Hallelujah, and Brian May appreciated the PTX cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.....I’ve often wondered if Paul Simon or Art Garfunkel had ever commented on the PTX cover of Sound of Silence OR if Yoko Ono or John’s son has ever commented on this cover. Just curious.

They turned this song as something much more deep than I think it was ever intended. I find the message very powerful. they sing as individuals and at the end they sing together in harmony...as one. I often wonder how John Lennon would feel about this version, I would like to think it would make him smile.

One of their best and most powerful performances ever. The harmonies near the end literally made my skin quiver. And you guys recognized the magic.

An iconic song with an iconic message, sung by a group that literally exemplifies the song. Many people, including me, just broke out in tears when this was seen for the first time. The message has probably become even more important today. It is truly a blessing to have these people make music for us. The odds of this group coming together to deliver messages we need were so small, but we are fortunate they are here. This could only have been done by God.

Always gives me goosebumps too.

My father brought us kids up on music. Everything from big bands to country, to even rock and roll...even Drum and Bugle stuff. When PTX hit that crescendo my ears could hear it was something Dad would have arranged for a Drum and Bugle corp horn section to just cement their best performance! I don't think I've EVER heard human voices do something like that! I leaned back, pushed my headphones tighter on my ears and just luxuriated in that WALL of wonderful harmony and memories of how Dad would have loved PTX. Wish he was here to hear them with me.
