I lost my husband 19 years ago and I thought I had worked it all out until I watched this series. I cannot express my gratitude to your sensitivity to the subject of grief and losing the love of your life, of loneliness, of pain, of compassion and of the importance of holding onto the joyful memories while still trying to move forward. This was so cathartic for me and I thank you for that. ❤

Always admired Ricky, he's made me laugh for so long, and I've always said that anyone who can make me laugh so much has the ability to make me cry just as quickly, and having watched the last two series has been extraordinary, I've literally cramped my stomach with laughter through the dry wit and sobbed like a pathetic toddler who thinks their world has collapsed after dropping their ice cream, seriously don't think Afterlife has even had the recognition it deserves, great acting, great scripting and great direction, masterpiece of our time.

I finally watched this show in it's entirety. It was very hard for me to get through episodes sometimes, because of things that I can admit I have felt and seriously considered in my low points in life. I lost my mother 7 years ago to cancer. I have watched my father slowly declining in mental and physical health daily since mom left us. Im doing all I can just to take care of him and myself. This show is the most beautiful and humanistic thing i have watched in a very long time. I have always been a huge fan of Ricky's work and stand ups. His thought processes and personal beliefs, his charitable contributions, his love for animals, ect. If I could just tell him thank you for writing and creating this show, I would. I just rambled on and I'm going to just tell anyone reading this thank you for your time, and I appreciate you. I hope whatever you are going through gets a little easier, and i hope we all find and keep the love and light we all deserve in this sick and sad world we live in. "Life goes on"... and all we can do is try to make our time here better for those that we love, and for those who love us.

My wife died before this came out and the first series was like watching the inside of my head for the first 2 years after she died( not the first year as I was in total shock). The second series was well thought out and poignant - there doesn’t have to be a neat happy ending. This trailer has me bursting out laughing and welling up in under 2 minutes. 21? Prime of your life lo, keep on keeping on and you’ll get there eventually. I was properly messed up around your age, and for a long while, nowadays I’m more than blessed to teach both children and adults, been married to my darling wife for over 15 years, and revel in volunteer work within my community and abroad. Work towards something higher than the self, and it is inevitable to find joy in one’s life. The only wealth which you will keep forever is the wealth you have given away. - Marcus Aurelius

@@Elephantstonica been looking at some stoicism tbh. I’m partially blind and I have Asperger’s and arthritis, so it hasn’t been an easy road, along with other personal struggles, it’s been tough af. But I’m honesty just sick of the society we live in, the social media egocentric bullshit, the competition of who can have the most money, who can fuck the most people or who can be the most popular, I just don’t wanna be a part of it anymore. I’m also made to feel like I’m an outcast because I’m disabled and don’t work, and people say I have it easy, like I wish I could see and drive and do normal things and have a nice house and a job and I tried, I went to study law at uni and the support there for disabled people is a joke, they promised everything and I received nothing, and I was made to feel like I was the failure. I honestly don’t know if I can do this anymore tbh, I don’t even know what makes me happy anymore, I’m learning guitar, hopefully something good can come out of that. This is the prime of my life but I don’t want to live it anymore, I have no friends, I have no family apart from my mum who only understands half of what’s going on. I just don’t wanna be a part of this shit anymore, with covid and the government hupocrisy that’s going on, I just want to escape it all. So I’m gonna do my own thing, and try not to worry what people think, and yes I’m on benefits and that makes me feel like I’m a second class citizen but at least I’m not one of those that lies and cons their way to getting money, I have actual struggles, and I’m still trying, I don’t know what I want out of life, I’m still tryna figure things out, so hopefully I can get through this crappy time. I don’t wanna play the victim here, I’m just at my wits end with not feeling good enough.

Hi Ricky, got my notification on Netflix for the 14th i believe! So looking forward to the last series but sad at the same time because it's such a great show! I'm prepared to cry and laugh just as i did enjoying the first two! Your obviously a deeply emotional and insightful man to write such real life situations and express it so myself as a viewer feel every second! Hope your well had a great Christmas and a smashing New year! All the best!

My personal opinion is that after you die nothing will be left and your body and mind will return to dust, it's all like gambling then the dust that used to be your mind and body returns. into nourishment for other lives, younger, more vital, more transformed...

God I can't wait to watch this my mum wanted to watch this season immediately after watching the second season. It's going to be hard for me to watch it by myself without her Because she recently passed away because of cancer so I imagine it will take a while to get through this third and final season but I'll do it for her.

When anything helps you to realise what’s truly important, you know it must be good. I’ve been a RG fan since XFM days, but afterlife is just a masterpiece! Nice one Ricky.

First of all, hello, because I don't have a good English, I need to use translation :) Thank you very much for making a series like After Life, it is one of the rare series that makes you laugh and emotional at the same time. I would like to send my thanks to the whole team before you for everything. Greetings from Turkey. You are loved :)

Just finished Afterlife, Season 3. I'm late to the party but better late than never. I want to thank you, Ricky Gervais, for creating this masterpiece. This is a story that makes you laugh and cry, and most importantly, highlights the beauty of common folk.
